The called ID says "Auto Insurance". They call at least 2 times a day. When I do answer, they ask for my late father-in-law who passed away 3 years ago. I inform them he is deseased and they hang up, only to call back and ask for him 2 hours later.

This is Andy (Asian sounding) from Community Center.  Then hung up on me after I said I wasn't familiar with either the name or location of the call.

These people call  me at least 10 times a week. I keep asking them to stop and they just keep calling. Help!

I answer these calls on weekends when I am not charged for cell minutes (they never call my other phone).  One time a guy wasted about a half hour with me while I was sitting around waiting for something else.  He went through the whole spiel which I made as long as possible.When he asked me if it was OK to have insurance reps (salespeople who are probably buying leads from his firm), I j8st said "no."  After asking me again, he finally realized he could not get my permission and had just wasted a=half an hour of his time.

Telemarketer from California with a very heavy accent wanted to know whom I had my insurance with. I told him that I was on the do not call list and demanded that he put me on the company's system. After that, I reported him to the do not call registry, national and state.

So wait... You posted on here AFTER 3 pages of other people, all of whom are quite clear that this is a telemarketer/scammer, and your hypothesis is that Obama is somehow calling you from California. You've clearly solved the mystery! You must be the smartest man alive!!!

another telemarketer call. I believe this is the 4th day I have received the same telemarketer call in a row and I am on both Do Not Call Lists, which does not do any good.

I too am tired of all these calls, not just from this number but from all the solicitor calls.  Obamacare is at the top of the list!  What I have found is that the number of calls i have received from all of these companies has decreased dramatically since I did 2 things.  First I disabled my answering machine, it seems that if the robo callers reach an answering machine or anything that says a greeting such as "hello" or "Hi".  It takes your number as an active number and sells or shares it with all the corrupt organizations.  Second if I am home and receive the call, I pick up the phone and hang it up gently and it seems to signal that the number is not active??  Those numbers don't usually call me back.  I do put them on the blocked caller option of my phone, but I don't generally receive calls from them again.  Hope this helps all of you.

This is Bank Card Services, and they've been calling me sporadically for years, even though I do the following with them:
1) Agree that I owe more than $2000 and that my interest rate is high. Ask about their services, take up as much time as possible (took me a while to find my card...).
2) Make up a bogus CC# number, exp. date and ZIP and write them down. Read the CC# slowly when asked. When it comes up bad, read it back and change one of the numbers.
3) When asked for the 1-800 number on the back of the card, read back "1-800-Do-Not-Call Registry".
When I did this the last time, "Greg" (#1177) said: "OK, I'm gonna put you on the list to call you every hour...". Oh dear - seems that they must be getting a lot of this and are getting a smidge sensitive.
Keep it up, folks - these tactics are apparently the only way to make the business model of these scum unprofitable. And it is SO MUCH FUN...!

Thanks everybody for the posting info; did show as Auto Ins. on CID received just a few minutes ago, but who in heck from VT would want to buy any kind of Insurance from a CA company.  I'm in my 60's, have been more than happy with all my local Insurance Agents since I was in my teens; after that many decades why would any one want to answer such a cold call or change what they are pleased with?  More likely to believe maybe "Credit Card Services" rearing their ugly head again as P. D. posted.  In any event, just another number to block!

I have received a number of phone calls from (916)347-0717. I would like to get this stopped.

Auto insurance. We i told them not interested. The make called said "I think your a motherf!#×&. And hung up. Foreign sounding.

This number called me 38 times in two days. There were times that they would call every five minutes then there would be a break for a couple of hours and they would start calling again. When I finally got to answer the phone it was a guy who said he was from U.S. Auto Care. I told him that I was not interested and to stop calling me. That was yesterday. Today they called me three more times. When i called back the automated recording gives you an option of being placed on their Do Not Call list. I took that option. This was at 11:45 this morning. It is nearly two now and so far, no more calls. Since the same thing happened about six months ago, I do not think the peace will last.

It's getting ridiculous!!!!!  When is this going to stop?  I have been able to put them on 'reject' on my phone.  Enough is enough!!!!

I put this number on the DO NOT CALL List twice and they still call 4 or 5 times a day.  They have been doing that for 6 months now.

I get between 4 and 5 calls a day from these creeps. I have put them on the Do Not Call List twice. Most of the time I just ignore the call but it wakes up my ill husband.   I have been nice and I have been nasty.  They don't get it.  I have a sick husband at home and I wish they would just stop.  I am perfectly happy with my insurance and I don't want or need a warranty program.

I have been getting these several times a day. Tired of these! Wish they would stop callig.
