Got a call from this number. A gentlemen, with broken English, tried telling me I have charges dealing with my social security number and to contact an O'Connor for more information. When I didn't return the call he called back and left a message saying they are sending an officer to my house with a warrant and/or going threw my employer.

I am receiving phone calls 3-4 times a day from this number. THEY QUOTED MY SOCIAL SECURITY NUMBER AND DRIVERS LICENSE NUMBER IN THE MESSAGE!! What do I do??? I have told them numerous times that I have no idea why they are calling me! They keep saying that it is a time sensitive matter and ask if I have a lawyer!! I cannot understand half of what they are saying so do not know who the company is!

This is a criminal extortion scam operating out of India. They are making the calls utilizing VOIP and the names of legitimate firms to make it appear the calls are originating from within the US. There is NO "company" or "debt" and you will NOT be arrested. They are harvesting and/or buying consumers' personal identifying information and you need to do whatever you can to protect yourself. This includes: Notifying the FTC: https://www.ftccomplaintassistant.gov/, placing fraud alerts with all three credit bureaus, notifying your bank and employer and letting these criminals know you are aware they are attempting to extort money for a non-existent debt and have alerted the authorities.

This number has been calling our Company wanting to speak to an employee.  States it has to do with a Social Security Number issue and he does not have the home phone number.  When we refuse to transfer the call he calls over and over and becomes increasingly abusive.

Says his name is Harold Franklin, strong accent, broken english, sounds like he is from a call center from India.  States he is with the Attorney General's Office and he is a paralegal.

If he was from the California Attorney General's Office, he does not know phone etiquette.  Asked him to fax his information, he told me they do not have a fax.  RED FLAG.  The State of California is, I am sure, over run with equipment.

I received a call from a man with broken english offering me a loan of $5,000, when I turned the loan down I started receiving calls from the same man telling me that there are charges being pressed against my social security number.  I stareted freaking out because I dont have a lawyer to deal with that but after 3 days of phone calls and him not giving me any information, I blocked the number from my cell phone.  Today he started calling me at work and harassing me, he started yelling at me on the phone and then started harassing my boss.  I felt horrible!!  He told me to call his lawyer but wouldnt give me a name or number.  How can people like that live with themselves and scam people?

Did you apply online for a loan? I got a call from area code 209 wanting me to get a green dot card for $200 in order to get a $3000 loan. Same accent of this caller. Also getting calls from Egypt. I told this person I already had a regular card why would I get a green dot card to pay for a loan? He hung up on me. Now I'm getting calls from a man with the same accent, tone of voice and same inability to understand him.

These scammers are calling from Washington state numbers from 425-998-2082 also in 800notes.com (same complaints). When I again got a call from 209-437-4440 (also in 800notes.com same complaints) I asked who was calling before I identified myself. In his foreign language he said something, got a response in a foreign language then identified himself as from Pay USA Loans in broken English.  They want money. Please report these people to Washington State Attorney General and California Attorney General. Numbers of these scammers are 916-996-2082,425-998-2082, Egypt +20-2-4702629 and from 209-437-4440, all numbers have same type of complaints with this website, 800notes.com. Be careful because when you refuse the loan offer you start to get threatening calls claiming to be from the California Attorney General's Office. Keep in mind they have your private information. Beware of identity theft or your information being sold or posted on the internet.

Calls every day, claims I have pending litigation against me and I will be arrested tonight, but can't answer questions, because he can't stop reading que card. BEWARE!

Easy for them, they are hard-core scammers/extortionists working out of northern India.  Basically telephone terrorists.
Block their calls and do not pick up on call numbers you do not recognize.

They keep calling me. I refuse to answer the phone. They left a message a couple of days ago, stating that there are charges against my ss#. I know my record is clean, these people are scammers. Dont give these people any info.

They call y work number, & they say some is using my SS# & making charges on my acct? Ya, ok.....SCAMMER! STOP F'ING calling my job!!!!!
