My fiancé just got a new phone yesterday at noon and has received four calls in a little over 24 hours. No one responds when he answers and on call back it says press one to be removed from calling list. He can hear a low sound when he picks up that sounds like a voice recording.

This number called me as well, but there seemed to be no one on the other end. I called back and got an automated response saying that if I do not prefer to receive further promotional information and to be placed on the do not call list, to press 1. I did this of course, but it would have felt nice to tell someone off instead...

I have bad news for you, the new cell number you now have is someone's OLD cell number.  When it was just "Ma Bell", they would put a "Used" number out of use for a year before it was reassigned, but these days "Bill" can give up his number today and you have it tomorrow.  My home phone is the same way.  Also, PUT YOUR NUMBER into Google,and see if anyone else is listed for your number.  Since it is a Cell, it is likely you won't get anything, but it's worth the couple of seconds to see.  And often you can correct the info, or request its deletion.

This company finally put us over the edge.  We are having our land line disconnected today.  Luckily, our cell phones have not been hit with Telemarketers.  We'll pray it stays that way for a very long time.

I think it is a subsidiary of United Health Care... anyone have a relationship with them?  ever since I left that company.... (as a full time employee I had their horrifying insurance package)... on a side note.. that was one of the worst companies I ever had the displeasure of working for... I went on my hubs insurance... ever since.. I started receiving their calls.. makes me think...

Called about affordable HEALTH INSURANCE. Not needed.

They have called my cell phone seven times in the last week. The first two times I answered but they hung up on me. After that I just didn't pick up. I blocked my number on my land line and called the number back. I got a recording saying

"Thank you for calling back. If you are not interest in receiving future calls regarding our special promotions and would like to be placed on our Do Not Call list please press 1. Please allow up to 72 hours to have your number removed from our preferred marketing list. Thank you and have a nice day."

All my phone numbers are already on the Do Not Call list. I am reporting them to the FCC.

I mean I'm going to report them to the FTC. It's the Federal Trade Commission that maintains the Do Not Call List.

I called back and nothing happened, no one answered at all.

Today was the first time they've called me, the caller ID said service message.

I get called from this number all the time but they don't say anything and then hang up. I am tired of the calls

I sincerely recommend to never answer a call from a number you do not recognize (cell phones give you all if not all of those 'unknown' numbers.  Let them punch themselves out in the void and become so exhausted as incompetent boxers.   They won't bother you for long.

They call me almost everyday, and get my fax number.  You would think that by now they would get the idea that no one on my end answers, and they can't leave a message.
