Called me this morning and I talked to a rude man saying that I owed money to wake urgent care. He then asked for a date when it would be paid by, and while I tried to explain to him that I was in college and that my parents deal with this sort of thing for insurance purposes, he told me that I "was over 18, so I need to handle my own medical bills." He then kept asking for a credit card number to charge the payment to, and I gave him a big "f--- you." and hung up. Called my parents and the bill was paid in full over a month ago and Absolute Collections Service isn't even the collections agency for wake urgent care as my mom found out. I called them back using the 919-755-3900 number and talked to another rude man who then said that the bill wasn't with wake urgent care, it was with wake emergency physicians and that's why they the urgent care had no clue who they were. I've never even heard of wake emergency physicians and certainly haven't been there. I finally told him not to call me back or I would be pressing charges. DO NOT GIVE OUT YOUR INFORMATION, (as far as I can tell) THEY ARE A FAKE COLLECTIONS AGENCY. I don't know how they are getting a hold of people's bill information, but they certainly have no clue what's going on.

I keep getting calls from this number.  I do not know ANYONE in the 919 area code!  They do not say what they want,  just to call them back The call back number is .800-523-5078.

This number is a SCAM.  No need to keep wondering "Why" or bother calling them back. SCAM Trust me, calling them back only makes matters worse.  SCAM  The persons on the other side of the line are trained to deal with people that have debts. SCAM So they plan on everyone they call claiming not to be the person they're looking for.  SCAM  The only way to stop the calls is to report the harassment to the police.  SCAM  Once I filed a harassment report the calls stopped.  SCAM

This number keeps calling me and hanging up all through the day and through the night.

These people call me all through out the day and night, its so annoying, sometimes they will say something, sometimes not.  Im in nc, and its a debt collection agency.

Prerecorded message, sounds like a cheap child's toy, very hard to understand.

I am 11 years old, and have a Trac Phone.  This company has called me 3 times (919-863-4968) and uses up my minutes.  I am mad because there is no way to tell them to stop.

I had the same issue with the busy call back number, called the other number suggested here on the forum. I would NOT provide any verification information, said it was for a bill for a hospital I have never been to.. Ever.. In my life.. I asked for them to mail me a statement. When he asked me to verify the address, I refused saying that if his claim was valid, they would have an address for me. So we'll see.

Same thing here.  No one ever came on the phone but I do remember getting a call from someone a while back saying my husband owed Duke Hospital several hundred dollars.  He has never been to Duke Hospital.  When I asked them to send me the bill they said they would and of course we never received it.

Exact same thing here.  It was from Duke Hospital for an imaginary hospital visit by my husband.  He's never been to Duke.  Jerks!!

Gordon, try to block their number in your phone.  Or, in your contact's list, save it as something like this..."Don't answer this call" and it'll remind you not to answer it.

Just got a call from this number. They hung up on me so I Googled the company (Absolute Collections Service). That is where I found the following phone number: 919-755-3900. The other number, the one they call from, is not an actual working number, it will either be busy or just ring. If you call the other number you actually get to talk to a person and figure out what is going on. hope this helps.

This number has been calling me and keeps hanging up when I answer!! Tired of all the calls!!

after reading this thread I called the 919-755-3900 and spoke to a person. They have no record of me which means there is a scam going on spoofing this places number. Be careful sealing with them.

They have been calling my cell phone number trying to collect a debt from someone named Allison Jenko or something like that.  How they got MY cell number is a mystery.  If you call the number that sends you the recorded message, it will just be busy or ring.  You have to call them at 919-755-3900 to get to their customer service.  I told them not to call anymore, they were reaching the wrong person.  They assured me that within 48 hours, I would not get any more calls from them.  We shall see...

This number handles calls for Memorial Hospital in South Florida.  Not sure if this is the caller who has been ringing my phone almost hourly.
