There is a law firm, Krohn & Moss, with branches and affiliated lawyers all over the place.  There is an affiliated lawyer in Clemmons, NC.  They are helping me with another collector, you may can get them to help YOU with this one.  These are federal collection law violations.  This law firm handles that.  They can get you a $ 1000 payment, and their fees will be have to be paid by the collector.  It is also www.consumerlawcenter.com  Go look and send one of their lawyers an email.  Mine was Ryan Lee, rlee@consumerlawcenter.com I believe.

I called my home phone provider and disabled others' abilities to charge 3rd party charges against my home phone after having 6 monthly extra charges for some web hosting thing that someone had pirated my daughters email address to hide their activities.

So be sure to disable third party charges on your home phone!

Obviously they are lying to you, if you know you don't have businesses with them.  However,  if you tell them not to contact you by phone, even if they DO have business with you, they shouldn't call.  In other words, you can try telling them to leave you alone, but only reputable firms honor the law. And, from what I've see from these comments, this group does not fall into that category.  A good consumer attorney can help if it keeps up, and a phone number actually works in getting back to these losers.  Once you tell them a certain number of times not to call (check w/the AG in your state), then you can sue for harassment.  They'll probably just close down and open up under another name and number, but you may be better off financially.

I sick of the call my house I need help to stop this call.

I was called from 919-863-4968. I called the listed number in the above post. I asked if the phone number 919-863-4968 was attached to a robo call tree. The lady spoke to informed me that she could not tell me if that number had called me without giving the number that had gotten the call. I gave them my number and she said she was looking up an account under my nymber. She could not find any information. She asked my name.  I figured, hey they already have my name and number, so I told her my name. Again she could not find any information concerning an account. I asked WHY are you calling me if you do not show any account. She said the number may be forwarded to my number. I told her that I had my number for 18 years! She said she would place a note on my number and I should not get any more calls. I asked her how long it would take for the "Block" to take. She said 48 to 72 hours. I said good!  
I TOLD HER ANY CALLS AFTER THAT TIME, I WOULD CONSIDER THEM AS TELEPHONE WHICH IS A CRIME IN NORTH CAROLINA ..

I was called from 919-863-4968. I called 919-755-3900 (same company as the ...4968 number).  Ask for customer service.

I am sure other states have simular laws.

This is the second time i have received these calls no one is on the other end please how do I stop this?

Absolute Collection Agency automated.  Call says "This is a call for (name).  If you are not (name) please hang up."  If you hang up you continue to get calls.  If you call back and try to explain that your are not (name)  they argue with you!  I called and told them I was not (name) and they told me "OK Mr. (name)  we are calling in regards to a hospital bill."  I persisted that I was not the person and they insisted that I was.

Needless to say I am trying to figure out how to bring about a lawsuit so they leave me alone.

Please have me put on do not call for this number.

Someone keeps calling for a Nettie Williams who does not live at my house. My husband has talk to the caller and asked them to stop calling us but they continue.  I'm tired of the harrasment.  I want to know the name of this company so I can report them.

Collection agency, don't answer unless you plan on having a screaming match with some idiot you don't even know and half the time they are calling the wrong number. The last time they called I blew  a whistle in the phone they haven't called back since.

Same all stuff.  Just changed my nubmer for the sixth time to no avail.  Starting to get these fakey again.  How can it stop!

Absolute Collection Service collects medical debt for hospitals. They are ruthless and have been sanctioned b Federal Courts, including a huge class action judgment.  They suck.

Robocall to someone (not me) regarding debt owed

This number is from Memorial Healthcare System. They are the collection agents.

Beware of family or friends that list you as a reference or emergency contact. Debt Collectors will hound the mess out of you trying to collect on their debts. Also beware of family with similar or like names. My husband is a Jr, his dad a Sr. We get calls for his dad's debts all the time. And these idiots don't understand the difference of name (Jr/Sr), age, SSN# or the fact that both reside in different states. If they continue to call, Call your State Attorney General's office. Also keep a journal of date, day, time and a name if possible, before calling the State AG.

Call keeps coming to my cell phone which is a new number.
Tried several times to tell them they have the wrong number (this is burning time on my cell phone so I will have to change the number since they refuse to stop calling me.)
