We did not fall for the scam each and every blessed time they call. However that does not make me sure they do not have access anyway. What are the legal resources is my thing. For instance the PUC or whoever in DC. For whatever good it does them to sit around and pass laws they do not enforce is stupid.

You were lucky on that. The last one threatened to call us every day.

Received robocall from a female claiming she was calling from Microsoft and said there were error messages on my computer and I should press 1 to speak to rep. Did not press anything and hung up. Obviously a scam since I just got a call from   another person trying to pull the same thing. I will be reporting this and also blocking any future calls. Folks, don't fall for this.

Called on Thanksgiving Day of all the nerve.  Didn't answer, went to voice mail and I'm blocking the #
That phone # is phony.  nothing starts with 000 after the area code.  If you don't know whose calling (caller ID).  Don't answer it.  Sad that there are such unkind and devious people in the world now.

Our answering machine received the call.  No message was left.

Received a call from 949-000-7677, Unknown name, computer-ized voice tells me my computer is doing weird things and will connect m to a microsoft  tech to fix. I hung up. It is Thanksgiving, my God. Is there no decency?

These a__ holes call me on Thanksgiving. No one answered. Why I answered is beyond me!

Caller said I have many problems and he was from Microsoft and could tell me what they were and help me fix them.

I also got this call the guy said my computer was sending them some bad information from stuff that i downloaded apparently. I said o really how would you know that?

Got a call from this number 949-000-7677 listed Unavailable with pre-recorded message about the computer having viruses and to press 1. Yeah right. This is harassment. Please do not ever call again. MS will never do this.

If you have a landline phone with AT&T, you can activate Anonymous Call Rejection by picking up the receiver and dialing *77. Otherwise, invest in a call blocker--one which can be programmed to reject calls from multiple area codes.

Why are you people so rude? Life is too short to be such a jerk. Be nice, people might like you!

This is a scam where the crooks claim to be from a reputable company (but they are not, of course). They then trick you into giving them access to your computer which gives them access to your personal information including your email, contact list, and possibly your bank accounts, record everything you type (including passwords), plus allows them to hijack your computer to do other bad things without you knowing. They are NOT from Microsoft or any other reputable company. Never let a caller fool you into giving your personal information or access to your computer.

By the way, parents, make sure that your kids do not have admin privileges on your home computer unless and until you are sure they know enough not to be tricked by this scheme.

Always say no, hang up, then ask your own computer gal or guy about it. Let's put these criminals out of business.

Bottom feeding spoofing scum suckers gave a call, same MO as a previous caller but a new phone number. These guys are dirt just fishing for an ignorant person to play their game. Since our wonderful NSA, Google, Microsoft backed government cant make a DO NOT CALL list work, the only thing we can do is post here and block the number. Once that's done give it time because they'll call again using a different number. Face it folks, we have all this tech and none of it can do a stinking thing in reality when it comes to nailing these dirtbags. Play the game and block the number. It's not worth getting boiled up over. Frankly there should be hit teams working to nail these guys and just burn their boiler-room operation to hell !

Got a call from this number 1-949=000-7677 it was automated call saying there were from Microsoft when guy answered he said he wasn't calling from Microsoft until I said Microsoft don't make calls like that

Caller said my computer is having problems and I should press "1" and talk to a tech. I have had several similar calls last two months!
