- Karen replies to Dr KnowI got a call from Today in America and wasn't sure if I should even get back to them. But I did speak to them and I'm not sure what bothered the others, but I hope that I hear back from them now. So I just thought it would be nice to relay my experience since everyone on this site seems to be really negative. And that's not what I found.
KR - jonathan replies to LAMETthis is definitely a scam. i got a call from a lady who said she worked for a producer named angelo ferraro wirh a show called business day. this guy tried to scam me out of 20k too. they have been investigated by the attorney general and fined already. look uo Gumbel vs. Encore. im calling Fox CNN and the attorney general. if you do business with them you deserve to lose your money
- jonathan replies to Tomsame crap different show. this time its buiness day angelo ferraro the producer. what a load of crap.these people should e shutdow, im calling the florida attorney generals office
- Mike replies to Carson| 4 repliesThis is not a scam. Sorry to say but you people who dont understand sales and marketing.
NO this is not a news organization doing a story. It is a business who provids a business like mine an opportunity to have a 5 minute news loop done with a National figure for me to use at Trade Shows or to send the link to our prospective clients.
I looked into making our own 5 minute commercial and hiring National talent to do the voice over and the cost is much more than $20,000.
Also since they give you some news station time like on Fox Business news and CNN that makes it legit that I get to say and market my company has been interviewed for a news show and then give my prospective new clients the link.
NOTHING SCAM ABOUT THAT. For my company about 2 years ago it seemed like a scam and I could not afford it but now it is something I can afford and it is much cheaper than producing my own.
You guys who think this is a scam dont have very open minds about how to market things. Stop looking at this as a $20,000 commercial from a marketing firm and look at it as what it really is -- an opportunity to make a 5 minute commerical with a National Voice over that your small business gets to own and use. - amazed replies to MikeHow does it feel to have a "job" where you have to come on line and try to convince us it's NOT A SCAM LOL?
Most people would be so thoroughly depressed and disgusted about having to make a "living" this way that they would find a way out, or just decide that the world and the rest of humanity would be better off without them and end it all. We admire you're untiring resolve to go on living your useless life in spite of the complete and unmitigated failure that it is, it's a real inspiration to us all. Thank you. - Krissy| 3 repliesWhy are you people defending these guys?
IT'S A SCAM.
I got a call from "Business Day" and a day later from "21st Century Business"... are they associated? They make it sound like a legit news segment. I asked my "representative" Ann from the offices of "Angelo Ferraro" if there were fees involved and she said:
"I'm not on the production side of things, to my knowledge most is paid from our revenue".
If they are selling infomercial space they need to present it as such, then it would NOT be a SCAM. My time was wasted but even worse my BOSS'S time was wasted by this non sense and I look like a bad gatekeeper.
I'm going to trash these guys on every site I can find. - Jake replies to Mike| 2 repliesI'm a Sr. Vice President of Marketing. I understand the industry pretty well. What makes it "scammy" is not the product itself, but the way it is marketed and sold. I have to keep these people away from my President, as he thinks that every "trade magazine" and tv show in the country is dying to do a piece on himself and our company. Below is the actual email I got today marketing the concept. As you can see, it is not presented in the way you described it:
XXXXX (my name)

- golden boy replies to Jake| 1 replythey called me too. same pitch. i suppose if the video is of good quality and if they add content and guidance that is marketable, it might be worth the 25K (not twenty). but maybe its an ego thing too. undecided, even though our company could use some creative marketing.
- golden shower replies to golden boyIf you think crooks who "market" a product in such a slimy and deceptive way are worth your money, then go for it! Without suckers like you, where would scammers be?
If you're really that stupid, might as well let these guys steal your money, otherwise someone else will have to do it. - EAGAmazingly I got the exact same call with the exact same number (954) 379-4389 initially from Nicole Anderson, assistant to the associate producer - Patrick Halliday(sp?). I spoke recently with Patrick about my company and what I have to offer and he played right into it. He indicated that there would be a $20,000 investment by me and would that be okay? He would then send me an email with additional information for me to complete and send back so he could present to the producer. He was then going to call me back soon.
As a lawyer and a businessman of nearly 20 years, I immediately was both excited and then skeptical. This site proves that whether this is a "scam" or not; it is not what one would think it is without reading through these comments. In other words, they present themselves professionally and the entire experience makes it look like your small company will score the winning touchdown with this - by reaching national audiences. But alas, it does appear to be barely legal and DEFINITELY NOT what it is - as it is presented.
I am absolutely amazed that Terry Bradshaw, a millionaire, sports legend, tv analysts, movie start, is lending his name to this sketchy "marketing opportunity." On the one hand I am relieved I found this site (which I was of course actively looking for) and of course disappointed that it isn't the opportunity I thought it could be.
Being an ethical attorney myself, I always knew people have no scruples and this continues my strong belief that people just plain suck.- Caller: profileswithterry

- EAG replies to KrissyAnd yet another site - confirming that Profiles with Terry is NOT what it claims to be.
http://trainingintel.blogspot.com/2011/01/car ... y-bradshaw.html - Kenneth Bradt replies to wesGot a call from one "Patrick Halliday"--a junior producer of the show "profiles with Terry" and then an email from one "Lauren Wardell" telling me to go to the link: http://profileswithterry.com/e-package/ in order to prepare for an interview tomorrow with the "senior producer" of the show, "Angelo Ferrarro".
A buddy of mine actually went along with the scam but ultimately got his money back. Here's what he had to say:
"This is either the exact same scam I got hit with or an identical one but their email, website and pricing is identical to the one I got years ago. plus the name of the company I dealt with was vison media television and I learned they had just changed to that to avoid some bad press. These guys are calling themselves US media television; too close not to be associated. Plus vision media was in boca raton Florida, these guys are in coral gables – less than 10 miles from boca.
Plus, another huge red flag is their website domain was registered in Portugal on 2/9/2009. That is exactly 11 days after I finalized the legal agreement to get my money back. and registering a domain offshore is how you keep the federal government from seizing it and your website when you get busted for false advertising or other violations of US trade and marketing laws because it’s not in US jurisdiction. They have registered their domain thru discreet domains, another red flag, which is how you hide actual ownership information. If they were legitimate, why not just register in the US under their company name like you and I do? Why all the secrecy?
Here is their actual DNS info:

So it looks to me like this is a scam. Beware. - Annonomous replies to wes| 1 replySee Joan Lunden Scam - Same thing
TV producers "NOT"
SCAM! - StingerWell I can tell you this… they DO lie. I received a call from Mr. Halladay (954-312-2011) saying he was with Insight and that he was calling at the appointed time for his phone meeting with the owner of our company. When I told him that Mr. Owner was not in the office yet he asked for the director of operations (by name). I told him that he was in a meeting and again he told me he was calling for the phone meeting that had previously been set up and that the producer was standing by for the call. I politely told him I would take the information and let the boss know when he arrived.
Two minutes after hanging up I get a call from Nicole Anderson (954-379-4389) who was being rather aggressive in wanting to talk to the owner. I told her that he was not in and she went into this spiel about how they had an appt and the producer was waiting, blah blah blah. She then asked me to call him on his cell phone. I told her no I would not do that and then she told me she did not care for attitude and wanted my name. After giving her my name, I told her I would see if I could get the director of ops attention for a minute and let him know she was on the phone. In the meantime I noticed that he had picked up the phone and was on a call. When I told her that she said, “I thought he was in a meeting.”… By this time I had had enough of this (explicit) and told her I would give him the message when he was off the phone.
When Mr. Owner came in, I asked him if he had a phone meeting set up with this company and he said.. no.. he’d never even heard of them… So, right there you can see that they lie and try to strong-arm their way into talking to someone of authority. Not a very professional way to do business.- Caller: INSIGHT
- marccall from a Tammy Harper for another scam called The Edge with Terry Bradshaw. Calling for the same fake name Tony Ferraro. these guys will never quit unless someone like the attorny general shuts them down.
- KimI received a call from a similar number: 954.312.2008. I experienced the same strong-armed sales techniques described above and noteworth omission of any fee--this time from Melissa Liebowitz, "Producer" for "Networth TV with Terry Bradshaw".
