They have beencalling me severaldays in a row and I just called them and told them that they had the wrongnumber an to STOP calling me.  We'll. See if it works.  But they never got around to telling me who they were until I called back anonomously and then the secretary gave it up . But I totally threatened that guy on the phi e that if he called me again I would get lawyers involved.  He said his name was "MR. WHITE"!  Sounds generic to me!.  The whole thing sounds sketchy too me!

It's a colletion agency. They collect for various companies in the Rio Grande Valley such as gyms, hospitals, and local mom and pop businesses. DEMAND proof of what you owe and once they give it to you ask them to reduce the amount to 60% of the total they give you; that way you aren't paying any of their FEES (in other words, paying the [***] collector that's harrassing you). They're desperate for money so any payment or settlement will do . After all that, contact the company you originally owed the balance to and let them know you paid. You can also just pay the people you have the original balance with and be done with it!

This company has been non stop calling me on my phone, work phone, parents phone (wh I have not lved with in over 20 yrs. Some guy from mccallen said it was was an 'out of courr' settleemnt before it goes to court and needed my CC information so I can settle a debt. I was ready to pay and he told me hold one while he talks to the client. A minute later he said fine amd I hesitated in which he got impatient.  Very unprofessional.will be reporting to the bbbb.looks as tho they have many complaonts but my work is gettog pissed!

That threat of litigation may well have been empty, therefore a violation of your rights. It should be clear from this thread that you are not dealing with an honorable collector. You never, ever hand over the keys to your funding sources to any threatening stranger on the phone, particularly one motivated to keep bleeding your accounts until they are dry.

By written notice you have control over where and when these clowns call, if you let them call at all, and you should dispute this claim. You are entitled to proof of claim and fair treatment, else the collection agency is NOT entitled to your assets.
