No message. If legal, why don’t they leave message? SCAM

959-299-4800 comes from Aetna, annoying as it pertained to a letter I was to receive in the mail, (this is not the first time) and to call the number on the back of your Insurance Card to have a Representative walk you through the letter.  Only when you call, the Rep. is clueless, and as a result no resolve as to the letters contents.  A waste of my time.  And the letter comes days after a Prescription from 2018 will no longer be covered by Aetna's of their Formulary List aka Drug List.  as of 1 Jan 2019, came 15 Jan, so not a Heads Up, and you have to find a replacement from Aetna's List, meaning an unscheduled Doctor Appt. at your cost.  Now that I have had my Morning Therapy via CyberSpace, I do not feel better about Insurance Companies calling

Received a voice mail from this number.   "Hello, my name is Ron with Medicare Advantage, calling for my wife to confirm her primary physician. Please call back using number listed on back of your Medicare Number. Thank you for being a member and have a great day."  I will check with Medicare to determine if, this is a valid number and a valid call.  I listed this call as Unknown, since I first need to determine if it is in fact a legitimate call. I will post with my findings/

Received a call from this phone number. Aetna said that they wanted to verify my birthdate and social security number. I told them to put the request in the mail and got a frosty rude reply. From what I have heard , no one should ever give out this information to a truly unknown entity.

try calling the real aetna company and give them this number.

Received a call today from this number. I never answer calls from unknown numbers. I read the previous entries about this number. If it is truly a legitimate business (as others also stated), a message should be left. Aetna is our current health care insurance.

959-299-4800is a SCAM. I did not answer. They did not leave a message. These SCAM callers should be arrested and the phone companies should block all their calls.

They called me twice early this morning. No message.

Called me after I applied for medicaid. Don't have Aetna.

Received a call from 959-299-4800 AETNA but did not answer it.
No Message left.
This may be a legitimate call but I have now blocked the number.

A message was left on my answering machine. The caller ID said Luann Clark. I couldn't hear or make out most of the softly spoken message. The person's name seemed to be altogether different from Luann Clark, as was the callback number she gave compared to the number in the Caller ID. I see that others say that this is Aetna. Could have been. Don't know for sure.

Received call in early morning from this number. Did not pick up. No message. Usually this prefix 959 from Hartford CN means it's from AETNA but not sure this time because there was no message left. I don't pick up these calls as a rule. And if no message is left that makes it all the more suspicious.

Received a call from this number. Probably trying to get my deceased husband to sign up for their Medicare program. I've received several of these types of calls lately.

"Michael, from Aenta" left a message about reviewing my insurance coverage - have had the same insurance for 4+ years - have spoken with Customer Service when I have called them - first time in 4+ years I have gotten a call from my insurance to review medical coverage - very suspicious.
