This number called my cell phone, I did not answer as I didn't know the number

Our new phone allows us to block numbers and it works great.  So far 8 numbers and any no number calls are blocked.  Hey FEDS, how about doing your job for a change?

keeps ringing on my cell phone causing me to pull over to see who is calling me...very annoying!

These are the telephone numbers of harassment callers from 3rd March to 4th April, 2012, made on my residence phone and cell phone.  All numbers were listed on 800notes.com by other people who had received harassment calls from these numbers.

All these numbers were of unknown persons or not recognized by me as companies I knew.  After the first two or three times I stopped answering them and simply rejected the calls unanswered or deleted unheard or unread any messages they left.

The one thing that seems to cause them to stop calling is to simply allow no contact with the harasser who is calling. It seems to me that the harassers purpose of making contact with the called individual is thwarted by simply rejecting him and declining to pay any attention to him at all. This works for telemarketer, solicitors, and so-called surveyors as well. The one thing none of them can abide is to be ignored. If you prevent any contact whatsoever; they lose, you win. When you answer a call or listen to or read a message; the harasser smiles and you become frustrated.  If you answer and immediately hang-up or delete any message; you smile and the harasser becomes frustrated. Right?

I filed a complaint for this number plus 16 other numbers to the FTC for this Card Services. I have 12 of these numbers blocked on my phone. This Company has many numbers they call from including cell phone numbers. All we can do is keep filing these complaints with FTC and maybe they will catch up with this Company. I have been dealing with these people calling me since 2009. I have asked them to take me off their list and all they do is hang up on me. Time to shut this business down. I'm not sure what else to do. I called my Local Phone Co., talked to the Police and filed for the 3rd time on the "Do Not Call List". The Police advised me to file a complaint with the FTC I have done that.  I will be filing a complaint every time they call. I have my number on the Do Not Call list. How effective is this if I'm still receiving calls from this number?

These idiots are the vermin of our society...absolute vermin and the FCC does nothing about them.

Political and Non-profit organizations are exempt from the state and national do not call lists.
They probably use the do not call lists as a resource for number lists.

The reason I know this is I worked for the Fraternal Order of Police for awhile. Due to the do not call lists, they opened there "own" call centers as they are a non-profit to get around the restrictions. A telemarketing company still runs things, all the scripts are "licensed" from the telemarketing company, and the office administrators are paid by said company. But all of the fundraisers (telemarketers) are employed and paid directly by the FOP. They also use this as an out when people say they know a 3rd party telemarketing company is going to get 80% of the money. They are still making the money, just a different way to get a loophole in the system.

Yes, I have been getting calls on my home phone and cell phone and let me just say this IT'S PISSING ME OFF! I am on the the do not call registry, both home and cell phone numbers. Sure you can file it with FTC but will it really stop and if so, for how long? You know as well as I do it will continue no matter what we do and it is very sad that the phone companies and cell phone companies do sell your information to the 3rd party. You just don't know it until later on you get these phone calls. I often wonder where is our rights as American civilian about protecting our information. It's wrong very wrong. I just don't answer my phone anymore unless I know you and your phone number.

The best thing to do is really is not to answer your phone - when you do that they keep calling and then they use a different phone number to throw you off. Please answer your phone knowing someone and their phone number that goes with their names otherwise you will keep getting. I refuse to answer my phone unless I know who it is...I do not answer unavailable or private numbers also. I know it's easier said then done, but just don't answer. I just don't have time to deal with losers  -  I have a life and I work and they don't that is why they bug us.

sick and tired of these people calling me all the time. it is a scam!!!

Just missed a call from them and am getting tired of blocking number after number. I called back and got a recording saying it was a survey company. They gave an option of hitting 1 to be permanently removed from their list. I hit it. We'll see if I get more calls.

I put calls like these in a spam contact on my phone and selected to have all calls go directly to voice mail. Of course, they never leave a message. Now I am not disturbed if they call again.
