Call constantly.  We ignore.

Got a call from this number on 02-20-2008 at 1:39 pm.  Missed the call, but came upon this post when I googled the number.

www.avaya.com is headquartered in Hong Kong and is responsible for various telemarketing companies hiding behind the PDS name on caller I.D. like the 972-247-0602 number.  
It stands for Predictive Dialing System.  Its advanced algorithm voice detection maximizes live voice connects to telemarketing sales by eliminating up to 97.6% of busy signals, answering machines, voice
mail, unanswered calls, pagers, faxes, modems, and operator intercepts. This high efficiency is partly based on the Avaya local expertise – as the company has gathered and analysed many Hong Kong tone samples, then fine tunes them.

The US government recognizes that automation makes the Do Not Call LIST a joke and very difficult to spank offenders - it's on auto, picking out number off the net, out of phone books, from other public places including elementary to high school info.  However, if you discover the company using the PDS system, then you request them to not call and they must comply.  Be careful because call backs are viewed as permission to call you and share your info, etc, etc.  Written requests are better and you can refer to your number avoiding the whole name and address thing.  No company should be able to do business anonymously - period.

yep I'm on the Do Not Call List as well. Why would I want to buy anything, especially insurance, from a company that constantly breaks the law? This was their third call. My next call is to the State AG's office.

Wrong.  The PDS outputs the phone number (ANI) and the local carrier then determines what to display on caller ID (in this case PDS).

Wrong.  The PDS does not pull info off the net, phone books, etc.  That's just plain stupid.  The PDS is fed information from systems, but does not read from books or scour the internet searching for phone numbers.

This guy keeps calling trying to sell me insurance.  I keep telling him to quit calling me and that I am on the do not call list.  I can't get a full company name or address out of him to report the company to the Better Business Bureau

Calls several times a week.  We are on the Federal and State DNC lists.  Finally decided to file a report with the Federal DNC.
It is very easy and quick to do.  Everyone should file a report if you are registered.  This is the only way for the FTC to enfore the DNC laws.  

If you don't file a complaint, they cannot stop these types of calls. Take a minute or two and file against them.  You don't even have to give your name.

Got my first call from these parasites on 02/27/08 from this number:  407-649-6559. No message left, but if you return the call you get the voicemail. They called 2-3 more times and stopped for a week or so. I just today got a call from the 972-247-0602 number. Same folks. No message, same voicemail if you return the call. I've reported both #'s to the DNC registry. Phone number resolves to:

How can we complain directly to their service provider?

I rec'd a call this morning but I ignored it because I don't know who would be calling me from that area code.  I did a reverse phone number check on-line and found this page. Can't they be stopped?

got call tday on cell phone, answered and got no answer. am on do not call list, filled complait with .gov

Caller asked for my husband.  I said he was not available.  She asked if I was his wife and I said Yes.  Identified herself as American Republic (or Public) Insurance and asked about our Health Insurance.  I stated that we were already covered and requested our phone number be removed from their listing.  She was polite and said she would do that.

I get a call from this number at least 4 times a week at about the same time every day.  I do not answer, I am on the DNC list but they still call.

Got a call the other day too, no message left, so filed a complaint with the DNC link here as I am on the DNC list also.. grrrr!

PDS keeps calling my house. Please get this company to stop.

PDS 972-247-0602 I just send blank faxes to these number and let them keep redialing - especially their 800-247-2190.

I am so tired of getting calls that say "blocked" or 1-972-247-0602.  I just got on the Do not call list again, just a few days ago, wonder if they are giving them out!  No message was left just said P D S or P.D.S. PDS on my caller id with the above number.  I have some stupid RX company calling me- obviously they are from another country (accent) and I asked them to take me off their list the man said "NO sorry maam weeee cannnnnot do that, but I have a savingssssss fooooor yoooooooou.  I said "remove me from your list".  The man kept talking, I hung up.  He called me right BACK and I blew a whistle in his ear!  Wanna be rude to me?  I will be rude back, it's my phone, I pay the bill, if I say don't call me, then don't call me.

Got a call this morning asking when i would be available, when i asked available for what they hung up.

Got a call from them again yesterday.

Filed another complaint with DNC. That makes my 3rd.

And I've already told them to remove my number.

Hopefully enough people will complain that they'll get hit with fines.
