Same here!  Just rang 2 times then stopped.  I didn't pick up either.

okay so I called their CS # 800-247-2190,....The women asked me for my policy number... told her I have no business with them.  She them told me I should put my number on the DNC registry... told her I have been on the DNC list forever.  She put me on hold and found a policy to remove my # and claims will do it.....call the # above and just tell them you would like to be removed.  Unbelievable, I should not be getting calls!!

Sounds like you need health insurance!  If you get this mad over a phone call, Id hate to see how you react in an actual crisis situation.  Take a vacation, relax, it's not so bad afterall...

This company appears to be using  a number well know on the Internet to disguise its actual number.  The Internet indicates it is an AVAYA PDS (Predictive Dialing System) used to thwart the Do Not Call Registry.  Please attempt to block this company's ability to hide its actual number from the public.  Making this type of dialing system illegal may help, but the Internet indicates the company is headquarted in Hong Kong.  AVAYA definitely has a branch in Dallas that the call may go through.  Caller ID indicates Texas as the origen of the call.

Did not leave a message, are bothered by these type of calls anymore as all our calls are filter by ringcentral so all these guys get is a voicemail or call blocking when they call even if they block thier caller id, the calls that matter get thru us where they can speak to a live person. I love ring central.

3. Land line belongs to Precision Dialing Services (PDS)
4. Number to contact at (PDS) is 214-343-7374 or Fax# 214-340-6631 Brenda answered(Wonder if Brenda is still there now?). Ask to have your number tracked to its owner and removed.
5. Their address is (PDS) 1100 E. Campbell Road, Suite 150, Richardson, Texas, 75081.
6. NOW, The big question? Who does 972-247-0602 really belong too?

7. If it is American Republic Insurance , then their address is PO Box 9371, Des Moines, IA 50306-9371.
8. Got American Republic Insurance information by filling out a  10 min form I printed off from the State attorney General's office for my state. Call them they will mail you one if not on website.(real easy)
9 State attorney generals office is going after them with additional info from AT&T.Plan to Prosecute if possible.
10. Now, If what "trumpet Blast" writer has said about a HONG Kong company named www.avaya.com is true, guess that will be the next chapter to be written in book.

These types of tele-marketing activities are predatory and need to be annihilated.

I called the number back and a message plays that says  if I want to buy their health insurance leave a message. I left a detailed message telling them to not ever call me. They called again this am and I spoke to someone. I told her to not ever call my home again.

they called in the middle of the afternoon.  i didn't pick up.  they hung up after about 6 rings. i googled the number and company and found this, so i'm adding to the incident list.

Got a call from these folks.  PDS 972-247-0602, I am also on the Do NOT Call List.

I didn't answer, but called it back and it said something like "We want to inform you on ways to save with health insurance. Blah blah blah... I left my name and phone number and told them to take me off the list.

Keeps calling my business and hangs up.

Very rude call from this number today, 10/02/08 -- caller asking about insurance --- told them they were calling a workplace and their solicitation was inappropriate --- they have made several hang-up calls, too, over the last several days

Said that were AMerican Health trying to sell health insurance.

said they were selling insurance...they called 4x in 2 days-finally answered and told them to remove me from list..I have never requested info on insurance...my husband is a insurance broker.

Dude, you're a real jerk. They people who call waste time. Damn right, blow their eardrums out if you can. That'll stop them.

Hey, a simple solution...buy a loud whistle. When they call back, take a deep breath and then let loose with the whistle. I usually follow it up with a few vulgarities (those are optional), and then I hang up. I tell ya', it does work. And I do feel a little better afterwards.
