When this number calls it's from a correctional facility. It will first call and say an offender would like to add your number to their call list. Then depending on the correctional facility the same number will appear when the person calls you back. It's either a prepaid debit on their account or you would have to put money on your phone to accept the call. This number is one of the main numbers routed through GTL .  Global Tel Link, a company that the inmates have to call through. It's a woman on the recording and you can decline the calls. It will first ask you  if you are the person responsible for the phone you press one  then I will ask you for your name you then record it  then I says do you accept to be added  to the phone list  if you can accept or deny. Sometimes you have to listen hard for the name or you don't hear the name  this is because it's a recording on there into that says state your name depending on how loud it is there they can't even here until it beeps  once they've made that that is now how they will call out. Unfortunately depending on the location where you are if you try to return the call it may transfer you through to a Spam number it all depends on how your phone service routes. The number will call you for your acceptance or denial so that the inmate can reach you ( which is normally 2-3 days). If the inmate takes your number back out of the phone list because you haven't accepted it and puts it back in then it will recontact you. If you continue to get phone calls from GTL you can call GTL directly at 18004838314 and talk to an actual person. Hope this helps

Automated message... said it was from an inmate but couldn't understand the name.  I tried to call the number back and couldn't get through to anyone.

Multiple voicemails from the same person. An inmate named Cody. It needs to stop.

This number is definitely associated with an inmate but what is very strange is that the 972 area code is listed as being in TX yet other entries on this blog say they are getting calls with this area code but associated  with other States. When I picked up the person identified himself as Chris.....I know an offender in VA who periodically calls but his name is not Chris nor in TX, so this indicates to me there is something fishy going on with this particular phone number. I blocked the number on my phone.

Calls started yesterday.  Automated message.   "Are you the person authorized to make decisions for this phone #? Press 1 for Yes or 2 for No.  There is not an "offender " name mentioned or the name of the correctional facility.   I just hung up and blocked the number.  I started receiving multiple calls with this same message from different numbers.

Excessive calls from jail. I don't know anyone in jail.

Called and demanded A n a l  sex

Originally got a call from (800) 483-8214; then this number called 30 minutes later from the same exact automated recording,  from the same inmate (James... Zippa, Sippa, not sure exact last name but sounds like Zippa).  Scam?

Received several voicemails from 972-280-7286, asking if I’m the person authorized to make decisions for the telephone number.  Last  caller said ‘Alex Cornet requested your phone number be allowed to the list of numbers to dial in order for this person to call you in the future’. I don’t know any Alex Cornet, LOL, just a scam. Blocked.

This is the second call I have gotten today from an inmate named Billy.  First call he was in Virginia and second call he was in Texas.  Calls were about 4 hours apart.   Another company also called that is a center that allows you to put money on prepaid cards for an inmate.  I told them I knew no one like that and they we're supposed to block my phone number

I have gotten this call twice in the last 4 hours.  Only problem is it was the same inmates voice but one call was from Virginia and the other from this Texas number.  I called the Global company after the first call and they set up a block for my number but obviously didn't work

Everyone’s a victim.  Nothing new, Prisoners have been touting that since ....well...... forever!!

Do you really expect that person to return after 9 years and see your comments?
