it was my boyfriend who I hadn't had contact with for over a month
It was a recording if someone saying Jorge eventhough his jame is Rene
but I had a feeling it would be him and it was
I'm glad I answered
by the way you don't get charged for answering the call
the person making the call is charged thry have an account with money set up

Received numerous calls from this number.

Have gotten four calls from this number all with the same message and the same taped voice of someone who goes just by Joe --- all in the evening between 7 and 9:30 --- getting annoyed at this point.  Have all left message - have never answered but the message is always the same.   Do not know a Joe that sounds like that.  Be aware.....

I too have been receiving calls from this number claiming to be from "Joe"  since Friday, April 1st.  The call has been coming in several times a day and each time it is exactly the same voice recording each time.

Getting non-stop calls from this number saying its from an inmate.

It was my friend in prison, Heather, but the name on the recording was Brandy. Heather said it was because Brandy set it up. So this is a legit number. She called me with prepaid debit so it wasn't collect.

Bizarre phone from this number. In Spanish from an "inmate in Grady County Jail" I could not decipher the rest sounded like a recording. Don't pick up!!

Called the 888-288-9879 no. (Which by the way,its the exact same #/thing as 972-280-7286. Cthats where got complimentry call from.) I proceeded to set up a phone account, but they NEVER asked me the inmates I.D # or which correctional facility they were at! & why need a PIN?

I just got a call today from a "correctional facilty" from MO and I would really appreciate if they did not call ever again. I dont know who would call me from a care center like this. They said this was a "pre- paid debit call" but I am not sure what to think....Thanks!

Do you want to accept a call from... "It's me!"  No I do not.  I hit 7 to be taken off the list but then I was prompted for a pin number.  Not sure if it was successful.  Will this web site do anything other than let me complain??

Yeah, I get this call on my messages that sounds someplace like a prison (or perhaps hell) and some guy named "Billy".  I don't know a "billy" nor anyone in prison.

So are you telling me they are calling complete strangers and trying to have you fund their telephone calls? Seriously? I guess they don't have enough to do.

The call i'm getting identifies as coming from DuPage County Jail. Caller ID displays "man" or "PCS" as has happened to others. I'm ignoring it. Hopefully it will go away. I just de-listed my phone number though and found out you can block these types of calls through my provider. Going to do that if this continues.

I also received a call from this number, 5-27-11. And I also didn't answer. I rarely use a phone and pay $1 a day "airtime" when I do... so I don't answer unknown calls that will cost me a dollar. hehe

I suspected it was a first call from a buddy in "detention."

Strange that a number in TX handles all these various places, must be some kinda outsourcing to the private sector... and the one that handles the most usually does it the cheapest... so they get more business. A "vicious cycle."

this is quite annoying, i have received 5 calls today from this number - automated msg that an inmate at coconino detention center in arizona is calling. tried the option 7 to block my number but then it asks for a pin????
