You should REALLY not post your legit phone numbers on the internet.  Scammers routinely use modified search engine software to troll the internet searching for valid phone numbers from websites all over the world.  Posting these hear pretty much ensures that some troll will scoop it up and you'll be harassed incessantly.

Caller claimed to be from NStar and was offering me a rate reduction.  Knew my address and asked me to get my latest NStar bill.  I asked for him to send me his proposal in writing and that there was no way I was about to go digging for my latest bill.  He hung up.

you obviously are under the impression that all companies are forced to abide by the Do Not Call registry, Not true. large companies pay for the list and have policies and procedures for controlling their sales and marketing people and face large fines for each violation. Little companies and telemarketing scammers bet on the fact that 99% of the people they contact will not register a complaint. Just like everyone who complains on these boards and thinks that the people violating the DNC law will stop. . But thank you for at least identifying what the call was about.

I just received a call from this number and these calls are becoming more frequent and I am thinking of disconnecting all phone except my cell.  The NC list is a joke.

Call came at 3:45 pm. I answered only because I thought I recognized the number as someone I knew. Same as other people, caller IMPLIED she was with NSTAR and said she wanted to make sure I got my discounted supplier rate for NSTAR service. I knew she wasn't actually WITH that company because an NSTAR service rep would already know that I use a different supplier! She offered to wait while I fetched my bill. I asked if I could call her back. She hesitated, said she would call ME back, and hung up before we could set a time - which was fine because I didn't really want to talk to her again, just wanted a phone number to verify which company was really calling.

About ten minutes later, someone knocked on my door and said she was from Viridian and wanted to make sure I got my discounted energy supplier rate! The funny thing is, I could swear it was the same woman - her voice was similar. But at least she identified the company and didn't let me assume she was from NSTAR.

Some guy said he can reduce my electric bill, all I needed to do was give him my info off any of my past bills. I told him to send me something in writing and hung up.

I just got a call from this number.  Did not recognize it so I did not pick it up.  Called them right back and there was no connection made.  I have reported this number to the proper authorities and have made a complaint with the Better Business Bureau.  Obviously, it is a scam because these people on the other end are too chicken [***] scared to leave a message or they have a sick sense of humor and just like to make phone calls, listen to machines and then hang up.  How sad must their life be to have to do that?  Oh well, good luck to them.  By the result of this situation, they will need it.

I was the first to post about this number last October 28. This is what I wrote:

"We got a call from this number today at 2:49 pm and didn't answer. The caller ID was UNKNOWN NAME. When I called back (our caller ID is blocked by default on outgoing calls) the phone didn't even ring, so there was no answer. This is obviously a scam of some type. The number will be added to our call blocker."

We got a call again from this number today at 9:58 am. Everything was the same as the last time, except this time it was blocked by our call blocker.

It is a totally a scam - left no message.

DO NOT ANSWER THESE IDIOTS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! if you don't recognize the number, delete the number from your phone. they WILL take a hint after a bit of time. above all, DO NOT CALL THEM BACK!!! that's what they want.don't give them the satisfaction. and that poor woman who posted her number - what the H""L what  were you thinking? she's either very naive or one of them.

I gotten a call and I have caller ID and it stated Out of Area.  So, this is a telemarketing - they did not leave a message it just when silent.

We got a call from this number again today at 2:10 pm. Please see my posts of 28 Oct 2014 and 13 Jan 2015. Nothing has changed, and again the call was blocked by our call blocker.

Got this call from "Beverly" someone named Amanda who was rude telling me she is calling about my National Grid bill. Not sure the name of their company but trying to get me to dump Nat'l Grid. Told her we just had a blizzard and they are the last people I want to speak to.

This one shows up as "Beverly MA", no message, and when you call it back, it doesn't even ring. It's a scam, I just don't know what kind of scam.

Got a call from this number. Said they wanted to lower my electric bill. Asked for a supervisor, who came on the line. I said was on the DNC and why did I get calls. She was polite and offered to remove me from their list.

We got a call from this number again today at 1:33 pm. This is the fourth time they have called. They are obviously slow learners. Please see my posts of 28 Oct 2014, 13 Jan 2015, and 21 Jan 2015. Each call after the first has been blocked by our call blocker.

Same thing happened to me, the guy wouldn't listen when I demanded they honor my prior do not call request. Kept insisting I answer his questions, and give him a good reason why I wouldn't switch energy suppliers.

These people do not take a hint because they call multiple times each week even though I never answer. Ridiculous!!!
