I just got a call from this number 1-987-654-3210, no message on the answering machine. I do not answer calls from people I do not know.
Does anyone know who this is? I know it has to be a fraudulent caller trying to get personal information from people but is there anyway of reporting this? Is it a call from outside the states? Or is it that this person calls people in many different countries?

You have computer modem issues, or just through your phone? I just did not pick up the phone, I know there are people who call to get personal information, but they also charge some insane amount per minute for the call.

14:10 PST received call, rang 2 times before I answered it, call dropped from their end as soon as I said "Hello"

Have received one call so far---left no message.

I get phone calls from this number everyday at least 2 - 3 times a day. I have never answered it..

We get several calls every day from this number.  No one ever talks, just hangs up once we answer.  Help!!!

I got call from this number 987-654-3210 yesterday. This is a scam and you should just hang up. An accented male (sounded Indian?) name Adrian claimed he was from AT&T yellow pages and need to verify my business and Online Information before they could go ahead with the next edition. I didn't believe a thing he was saying as he also claimed that I was currently signed up for two years for $499. I do have a listing with AT&T but the amounts are different and my contract was already setup and confirmed by fax. He said he needed a verbal confirmation before he could send me any information regarding this account. I asked for number to call him back on and he said he was part of the out-bound branch and couldn't provide a number but if I gave a verbal confirmation to send me an invoice the information would be included. I also recently got a call from a company called Zipweb which I believe may part of this scam. They tried to get me to give a verbal agreement to a free one month online marketing campaign that would put me at the top of local searches.
Apparently there is a loophole in telephone providers (such as AT&T) billing systems which allows third party billing through them. The scammers try to get you to give a verbal confirmation to some kind of temporary free offer then bill you through your phone provider. They only need to get a way with once to make it worth their while. Never give a verbal agreement to anyone over the phone unless you are absolutely sure who they are. You can also call your provider and have third party billing blocked. For some providers this is a legal requirement as they share/rent space over communication lines. They may be innocent but I suspect they are aware of these types of scams and turn a blind eye for a secret share. they keep calling and no one talks then it disconnects. Annoying and costing me money since the calls are to my cell phone.

I have gotten 3 calls a day also for the last 3 days, I dailed the # back 3 times and got the same message.."We're sorry your number cannot be completed as dialed, please check the number and dial again"...[***]

Well I just started to talk to this guy his name Roberto Brath supposedly born in  Udinese Italy. only child both parents dead and his birthday Nov 20th and his daughter Janny Aug 15th is 12 and off at boarding school. HAs an uncle still in Sicily. Lives at 2322 MArina Bay Dr west Fort Lauderdale, Fl and has two emails one being Robb_1975@yahoo.com and the other robertobrath1960@gmail.com. Found me on a single site which I have removed myself from....claims to speak 4 languages....found this site on myspace with the same name as well. Said he works in construction for the United Nations of Poland? which i questioned "him" about and then he told me that he was in CA putting some repairs on a house he owns there. People are just not right anymore!!!!! Think I will turn this into the FBI and see if they can look into it ...I have friends in high places!

I got a call from this number from some claiming to be from my yellow pages and wanting to update an account that I had with them.  Upon further questioning they could not answer which yellow pages they were with just stating the 'local yellow pages'.  At this point the person became belligerant about updating my account so I hung up.

In the last couple days, I've received this number for a few times.  When I picked up the phone, there was no asnwer and when I call back there's a
message saying your call cannot be completed at this dial; Please check the
number and dial a again.  I'm so mad and I don't know what I'm supposed to
do.  My phone doesn't have the option to block this number except if I want
to pay $2/month and I have to go to the website to block this number.

Called 5 times so far today.  Has been calling for the last 3 days.  I don't answer and I get lengthy hang ups on my answering machine.

Called my cell on 31Mar09 at 1641hrs. I did not answer, and no voice mail was left.

I am receiving calls from this number, how do I make them stop?
