We have gotten numerous calls from these scammers. Last evening it was at 10:52pm. My son argued with the guy on the other end. They tend to call and keep insisting on getting you to turn on your computer. SCAM***SCAM***SCAM

Almost all the numbers calling these day's are spoofed numbers.. Most of these are from India also.

ROT is don't answer the phone, if your close enough, pick it up and hang it up asap. I've messed with them a few times personally, from blowing a whistle to plying deaf and passing the phone. But asking them to not call you is asking fir more phone calls.  Whistle works best and of course, you can consider maybe getting a call blocking device or phone.. You can google them and many are around $60.00 or so.  Devices block more numbers then phones do.

Want these annoying calls stopped! We are on the NO CALL lists, but these scam artists keep calling and no amount of reporting these seems to result in improvement. Late night calls in my home are alarming with aging and critically ill family members nearby. It seems the only recourse customers have today is to get rid of land line phones!

Two calls in an hour and a half, the last one at 10:30 PM.  Microsoft Global Routing about some virus that has infected every Microsoft user in the world and I had to shout at this guy to stop talking long enough to tell him to take me off their call list.  How do these people in foreign countries use phone numbers from Michigan?  Now I have to block another damn number.

Not tech savvy and when this person with a thick middle eastern accent started asking me to sign into my computer because of a  virus they detected on my system, I became suspicious .  Just so happened I was experiencing some equipment problems and a friend of mine who works on my computers occasionally,  happened to stop by at that exact moment.  He took the phone from me and gave the con artist a tongue lashing.  Needless to say the scammer quickly hung up.  What the tech friend said was they start asking for personal info and  IP numbers and have you sign in, once they have all the info they need, they tell you their is a charge to clear up the virus and ask you  to wire transfer money.  They also take over your computer and steal all your personal information.  This friend told me he has personally witnessed several local elderly people falling for this muse.  Please beware . Hangup immediately !!!!

I got a call from "Luther" saying he was from Microsoft and that there were reports that my computer was infected with malware. Since I am deal with security and digital forensics, I played along. Even though he had an Indian accent the callback number he gave me was for an area code in California. When I asked him why the phone number he gave me was different than the one on caller ID, he said that he was calling from London, but the California number was for US customers. [Second red flag - why is Microsoft calling from London when they are based in Redmond, Washington?] He asked if my computer was ever connected to the Internet since that is how they got the report of a problem with my machine. He then tried to get me to type a command in the Windows run box (www.ammyy.com/AA_v3.3.exe), which would have installed a remote control application. After I questioned him as to why he wanted me to install an executable, he continued to say that it was not and executable and was required to help me resolve my infection problem. I told him I would not do as he requested and asked him why he was trying to scam me and lying about his intent. That's when he hung up. He immediately called back and began cursing at me. I hung up. He called back again spouting profanity. I finally told him that I had recorded the conversation, had his caller ID and would report him to law enforcement. At least he stopped calling. I worry about people falling for this scam, especially the elderly.

I received at least 3 calls a month from 989-655-2274. I start speaking in a made up Asian language. He keeps going on about my computer. The last time he called, I told him no one was home at this time. He said ok, I call back later. lol!
These people should be put on an isolated island.

I got a call from this number and the accented man stated he was from Microsoft and I had a computer problem. It was 6:50 a.m.! No business calls outside of the ethical time frame or they get into legal trouble. If they can tell a computer has an issue then why isn't the same technology there to just correct it? MORONS.
