Tried to dupe me into spending over $150.00 for false claims regarding viruses etc.

My ID box… same name Terry McDonald.. I knew it was another SCAM.. This damn govt.  Needs to get on top of this!  Obviously I didn't answer it. We all need to call our phone carriers and demand ACTION.  Yeah.. good luck with that :(

"Terry McDonald" just called me a few minutes ago but he hung up when my voice mail picked up.  All he wanted was to scam me out of every cent I had in my bank account and steal my identity too.  I wonder if they have this kind of scam going on in Europe and Russia where the real money is???

Received a call from them at 11:18 pm! Not recognizing the number, I didn't answer. Is this a new "low" or what!!... calling so late at night, waking me up from a sound sleep. As annoyed as I am by the call, am equally upset with the (ineffective) DO NOT CALL program, which is a huge JOKE. If the government can trace the 'descendant' of a cow in NY that has some kind of weird disease all the way across the country to her great grand calf in the State of Washington, three generations removed, right to the calf's stall, why can't illegal nuisance calls be stopped????? Go figure... more government jobs with high salaries for people who do nothing except collect big fat pay checks and receive fantastic benefits. Our country is in a sorry state of affairs.

I got the call at 10:30 pm and they said I had a virus and gave me a computer number to check on 00c04fd7d00062 and wanted to repeat it  and I said that would be fine but I do not have a computer and they hung up.

same as everyone else.... caller ID says "Zombo  D & C" and Indian accented guy says my computer has some virus or Trojan that is making "Windows" (where he works of course), aware that my comp is going to crash within the hour if I don't allow them access to fix it.  He threatened to hang up on me when I cursed at him for calling at 1130PM and waking me up! I told him to go right ahead.  He offered proof that he was real saying he would give me my own license # for my program.  I told him to give it to me and a call back number so I could call my brother who owns his own computer company to confirm...that's when he suddenly got conveniently disconnected...LOL

Pat, the criminals do not even look at the Do Not Call lists.
Don't be ranting about a government agency after Congress intentionally underfunds the agency.

And you cannot compare cattle with telephone calls. With 300 million people making several calls a day for business and personal reasons, that is billions of phone calls to try to track.

Perhaps the NSA could be repurposed to find and track the scammers ... but there are people who howl invasion of privacy ... we should ask "those people" how many scam calls they and their relatives are getting.

I've had at least two calls a day from these "people".  I say that because with a name like Zombo for their company, it can't be human right?  Same phone number after how many years?  Lord, they must get some poor saps to listen to them which is so sad.  The woman who called yesterday--I told her I didn't understand a word she just said.  And she hung up.  And they just called again and hung up when I said hello.  If I had had my glasses on and could see the caller ID I wouldn't have answered.  HA!!

They have called twice, usually late at night and informed me that my computer is infected with a virus.  I hung up on them, after giving them a piece of my mind.

got a call from terry macdonald at the same number selling windows.  Told them I was on the do not call list and do not call me again.  He said I will call you again and I told him I was going to report him and he said go ahead.  Tired of these calls.

Same deal, Indian accent, called three times in the last half hour. I hung up first, then listened on the next one for a few minutes.  Guy claimed to be calling from Windows about messages my computer sent to Windows, I needed to sitting in front of my computer, that my "viruses" were affecting other users in my locale.  When I said No, he said he would block my computer.  I hung up.  He called a third time, I let it go to VM.  He didn't lease a message.

They called me about 10 pm, the guy had a British accent and, said hello a couple of times, then hung up.

Oh great....now I'm going to have to remember to unplug my phone every night.  Woke me up at 10:45PM for the second time in two nights.  Didn't answer the phone either night.  Can't find a "call block" feature with MagicJack phone service.   Might have to leave them, but just dropped $38 for another year's service.  Sheesh.....

I have tried this, and it slowed them down for a while, but the list just gets passed on and someone else will start calling.  I had some fun at first playing different games and comebacks with them, but it got boring eventually.  I know what company was hacked to get my # in the first place, it has been over a year and new scams just keep coming.  My friends all know that I will not answer if I don't recognize the caller ID, and if they speak to voice mail I will pick up.  Be especially wary of 900 numbers, some of them can charge your phone co. just for picking up and talking to them.

This was my number in Hale MI.
I cancelled this number over three years ago and have no idea what happened after that.
Sounds like it got into the hands of  some people with some bad intentions. Want to make sure people understand that I have no connection to this number.
