This woman wouldn't address herself and told me I was rude

Received a call from Indian man claiming to be from Microsoft.  I told him he was waisting his time because I knew he was trying to scam me.  He then became angry and began telling me what he would do to me and swearing.  My husband then took my phone and layed  into him .  Finally after exchanging words my husband hung up.  There's got to be something we can do to stop these people!

Man said he was from the Governmental Department of Health and Human Services and my name & number had been selected to receive a grant of $9500 that I didn't ever need to pay back.  I told him I wasn't interested b/c it was a scam and to take my number off their list.  He argued that it was NOT a scam, so I told him to go ahead and send me a check.  Strangely, that's when he hung up.....   See this link for the referenced scam   https://www.hhs.gov/grants/grants/avoid-grant-scams/index.html

Received a call from this number. "John" from the "windows on my computer" called. Scammers.

Scam call. Best way to do went received a call you answer hello or what so ever, if on the other side you hear a click or more than 2 second to say hello this is a computer call made by a fake person who is waiting on many line calling in same time by a computer then trap the fish"you" so.. Just hang up.

This is a call from a person claiming that your Windows computer is messed up and needs him to fix it.  Challenged him just a bit and he swore at me.  Classy and swarmy.

On the rare occasions when I do answer a call from an unknown number, I always try to see how long I can keep them on the line and waste their time.  Have reached about 7 1/2 minutes with one guy [sounded Indian] before he finally cursed me and hung up.

A lady with Indian accent called and told me that I have got a government grant. She knew my full name, phone number, and address!

Called and said I was chosen for 9400 grant----had my name and number which was scary......anyway had a terrible Indian accent and i told him to go f*** himself.

Caller stated she was from the US federal government and I qualify for a$9000 grant from the us fed government

It's a scam-there is no grant-they just want to steal your money.

Telling me that my email is getting hacked and that I need to get online and change the the password such b*******

A Indian man with heavy accent and allot of background noise.  Started out saying that once a year the "government" has a program to give away free money. Asked if i heard of it before. I stop him and asked for his name again. That's when i told him. I was recording this call. He said so was he. But I wasn't the one that hung up first ! what an [***]

I love these calls, if I have the time and am in a devious mood when they tell me my computer has been taken over, I freak out in a panic, get all worried about my computer, have them tell me what to do (obviously I don't), tell them I do not see what they are telling me I should, and run them through their script.  When they ask what I see, i tell them a black screen and wait, when they ask why, i turned it off because it was infected and I was scared. It's real hard not to break out laughing playing the ruse, but eventually they give up and start cursing. Funny as heck...

Scheme or scam

Answered and it was silent. Was about to hang up when I heard some 'shuffling' and then an automated voice said, "Goodbye". Very strange.
