Same number, was my boss calling to tell me he went to Cancun for a week?

My son called me from the airport in Cancun on January 12, 2012 using his cell phone. This is the number that displayed on my phone......it is not even close to his cell number. Very very strange.

i got a call from this number, they left a voicemail about 10 seconds long sounded like it was a phone in someones pocket. i don't know anyone in mexico nor do i know anyone traveling to mexico. this is the dirst call i've ever gotten like this. weird.

I just got a call from this person, it was a man who had my name, but his message was garbled and not understandable, and when I tried to call it back it was  "sorry, this number cannot be completed"
Who the ... is this?

Has anyone investigated this?

Pretty sure it was my friend calling me from Mexico. When I called back it said that this person could not be reached at this time.

Received a call from this number a few minutes ago but didn't pick up. We know no one in Mexico and upon callback moments later the number has "been disconnected or changed".

Got a call from this number.  It was from my boss in CanCun Mexico.

Well a guy named peter called heavy hispanic accent.  Called about a car i had listed online.  Stated his cell was out of new york he is on vacation in cancun.  He claims to buy cars for clients and ships them to germany.  I said so when do u want to see the car.  He says i don't need to see it i just feel the seller out.  Says he owns a car dealership in new york.  I said sure you do.  He then said ok i might call you back if tge price is right for my car which is over 50 k.  I gave him no info.  Anyobe who would pay over 50 k for a car unseen is not legit.

We received a call from 998-844-8086.  Person said she was my granddaughter.  I did not recognize her voice but she said she had a cold.  Told me she and a girlfriend went to a music festival in Mexico.  I knew this not to be true as she was in college and her mom saw her this morning.  Party said they had an accident, she had stitches and was in a holding cell and only had $500.  I knew she was going to ask for money and said I knew she wasn't my granddaughter and I hung up.

I  got  same  number. Number was 998-106-9899  from Mexico  cancun  I thiink  it mom  or my uncle  or he new wife or my dad but not sure yet?

Number was assigned temporarily to my sister's Verizon cell phone for calls and text in Mexico.

Just got a call from that# now my phone is acting funny think som1 hackn my phone

I received a call from this number 543 am and then the next day at 1130am. Called back said phone was disconnected. Answered once and heard nothing.. My boyfriend is in Cancun. He was probably trying to call as i see a lot of these posts are saying from Cancun.. Thanks for the info :) weird how we all got the same number lol
