I canceled Mcafees service years ago but some how every year they charge my credit card, so last year I reported my card lost/stolen and again this year I noticed they took monies from my account, I was like what the heck, so I called my bank and they told me I must have given them the new credit card number and I assured the bank I did not and I wanted the charges put back, well couldn't do that, I had to call the thief's that took my money.  They assured me they would put the money back within 10 days and after a few choice words and a few names (I was not proud to say) they assured me the money would be put back immediately, and the auto-renewal would be canceled and I told them that should have been done years ago because I did not use their service and had called and canceled it back then.  The man then told me they had 3 of my credit card numbers, now I don't know about most people BUT I would NEVER give a company 3 credit card numbers...they are crooks...now I just received an email saying they are going to charge me again after just canceling it again 2 weeks ago and now they are calling me, HELLO, I think it is time for me to file charges against this company.

This number leads to McAfee which charges your credit card without your permission.  This is THEFT and a SCAM.  McAfee should be sued or shut down - they are committing a CRIME.

I got a $79.99 charge on a credit card I seldom use.  It was for a McAfee product and this phone number appeared on the bill, next to the charge. I haven't used McAfee since 2009, so I called the number and I spoke with three different people (they each told me they are located in India); the first two were apparently trained to stonewall and inform the clients that regrettably the money couldn't be refunded, the last one finally agreed to refund the money, but did not acknowledge McAfee's shady business practice. I was explained that McAfee had been sending automatic renewal emails to a .net account I haven't used since I switched cable/internet service carrier in 2010!

You've got to be persistent and don't take no for an answer.  Demand to speak to a supervisor and insist on calling the charge fraudulent, which is exactly what it is.

It took almost an hour on the phone, but I did get a confirmation email that the charge is being removed.  For good measure I called the credit card company and lodged a complaint disputing the charge.  I did this out of an abundance of caution, but honestly, how can anyone trust McAfee after the company engages in fraud?

I hope this helps people out there who are frustrated by McAfee's shadowy business practices.

File a dispute with your bank or card company. Tell the bank/card company that your account has been compromised by criminals and the chargers were not authorized by you.
Have the account closed and reissued under a new account number.

I got one of these charges on my statement too, and called the credit card fraud people.  They cancelled my card but since this was a NEW card in January, I wonder how McAfee got my new card number and billed it without my consent.

Was kind of angry when I saw this charge on my statement. They have a automatic billing that you need to uncheck during time of purchase that they kind of hide, and to uncheck afterwards is kind of weird also. But, I did call the number on thebilling statement and the rep verified my info with, they refunded my money. Got conf. #, and said I would be retured in 1-5 business days. So all is well. . . . . .. ..Beware caller not in US.

I called this number because a charge showed up for 39.99 on my bank account from Macaffee. I did not order any product, so went through giving them all the info on me they needed. They found another name associated with my information. They are going to refund the charges, and they were very helpful in getting this fraud charge cleared up.
