Fake payday loan collection scams - Please list new numbers here.

The phone number that I keep getting for callback is 206-577-9920.  In the background I can hear another middle eastern accent doing the same thing.  I hear personal cell phones ringing in the background that suddenly stop ringing...sounds like nextell ringtones.
PS...Jason is a real "charmer".  I have particularly enjoyed my "chats" with him.

The number they gave me is 646-918-5106. They called my office and told the Receptionist that it was regarding a law suit against me. I whish I could find out where they are located in New York.

Another number to add    818-659-5718   Same story as all of you.... But they askin to speak to someone that dont live here... I only had my phone number for about 5 months, called about 4 times... i find it funny, "Jack Johnson" called me Bahahahahahahaa!!!!!

I received one of these calls for the first time today.  I do have a current payday loan, but it is in good standing and I have had no issue with the LEGITIMATE payday loan company that I have been using.  The number they called from was (310)421-1841.  The man stated he was from some legal department and that he would be recording the call.  Proceeded to advise me that I was being sued in California for non-payment of a pay day loan and that I had a court date that I needed to attend with my attorney.  When I tried to delve deeper for more information because I was quite sure there had been some sort of mistake, he was not forthcoming with information.  I asked for the name of the payday loan company because I really did at first think that perhaps I had been the victim of identity theft of some sort and that maybe someone had opened one of these loans in my name. He at this time said the name of the company was CASH ADVANCE PAYDAY GROUP.  This man knew my home address, my social security number, the name of my employer.  I continued to question him about the name of the company becuase I did not recognize this place as a company I had ever done business with, to which he replied that they operate under about 45 different names and proceeded to name about a half dozen of them.  He then threatened to have legal papers delivered directly to the HR department of my employer and to even send the police to have me arrested at my place of business for fraud by check, theft and a few other charges that I cannot even recall.  As I pressed further for more information and insisted on knowing an amount, he stated that the total amount owed was $395.33 and he then became flustered and hung up on me again stating that they would be delivering legal documents to the HR department of my employer by noon tomorrow.  When I called back (several times) trying to get more information, he continued to get flustered and hang up on me each time.

The next call I made was to my bank to be sure that no one had in fact tried to withdrawl ACH funds from my account which my bank verfied HAD NOT been the case.  I notified my bank of this potential fraud and then immediately notified the credit bureau to put my credit reports on fraud alert.  I went online and filed a report with the FBI as well as my State Attorney General's office.  I tried to call that number back later to advise that I knew this was a fraud and the man on the line became rude and said things to me that I cannot even repeat in this forum (about my female parts to be exact) and I could hear other people giggling in the background.  Shortly after, I received another call from a number that was somehow partially blocked and only read 503-8174 on my caller ID (lacking an area code it would seem).  This man, also with a heavy accent such as the first man had, identified himself as an Officer Patton and advised that he would be coming to my address (and stated my full address) to arrest me.  When I stated that I knew this was a scam and false, he got angry and said he would see me in handcuffs and behind bars.  Said that the police officer would be there to pick me up and take me to the jail where I would be brought before the judge.

The only truly frightening part of this is that they knew my real social security number, the name of my employer and my physical home address.  I have since read some online reports that some of these scammers have gone so far as to harass peope's family, friends, and employers.

Anyone know how to make this stop beyond what I have already done?

1 727 379- 2158  and 1 347 618- 0664 has been calling me for months saying what i have read on this page its sick !!!  i have had my phone number for 12 years it started last year what can i do about it don t want to change my number over them that would be going to there low we all need to get together and go pay them a visit they said that i got a payday loan and if i don t pay it back i was going to jail but i did not get any loans my bank has proof of it they are saying there names are sam something and adam smith and robert french and many more what to do    david

i just received my third call message from a guy with a heavy accent said his name was travis woods but when i asked for woods he was busy so i spoke to a female named Pamela also had accent told me she couldnt give any information but someone would be at my work place in the morning to give me papers then i would know. the number they gave for me to call was 209-243-0110. when i asked what the company name was they said cvm services and they are out of California

they told me i was going to jail if i didnt pay so i told them to take me to jail i could use a break and i also told them we already killed osama and they were next i would shove a bomb up their a**. I also talked to the us secret service and they said they were doing all they could and they knew all about these people who were messing with americans and they would not stand for it so i guess we will see.  here are some numbers they call me from. 315 285 0072...scammers posing as Becker Law Firm or Sanders Law Firm....threaten court and bank acct freezings for money NOT owed by you to anyone..just want your info to clean you out..they sometimes have the last four of your ss.....so dont fall for it..caller is usually Gary Smith..working for Mark Sanders...BEWARE

Here's another number to add to the scam 209-498-0511. The guy has a heavy indian accent and said his name is Robin Miller and he is a lawyer in California. Said his client was EZ Cash. I have never had a payday loan from any such company.

A Henry Willborn w/PLC Investigations.. called my work, #877-636-9608, saying they have a case # & are trying to 'locate me.'  I have had old payday loans before, but have been long since paid off!!

I read in a report online, that these people get access to old credit information, & call & harrass you at work, for a loan that is already PAID!

And they say they can arrest you.. when actually, if you talk to a lawyer, you can never be arrested for debt!  

it's a SCAM!  TIRED OF these people calling & harrassing me at work!

I have gotten several calls from the same guy. I just ignore the calls. But today they left me a long message. It is all a scam. They do have my information as he gave it to me in the message. I have never had a loan of this sort and will do what I have to do to get them to stop calling me. I have talked to the sherriff and they can not arrest you this is a scam that has been going on for awhile. The best thing to do is dont let them make you feel like you owe them something. People should not pay them anything. This is indians and they are working from overseas but using phone numbers from the states. They are fradulant.

The following numbers have called me a million times....and when I answer.....very abruptly of course, they just hang up in my face...which REALLY ticks me off!  Here are the numbers:  805-309-5505, 987-928-2683, 646-843-6200, 205-409-4577, 392-875-8165, 729-704-8548, 918-442-0644, AND 392-156-8758 -- this one has called me seventeen times inthe past two days....WTH????
