- tiger girl| 1 replyMy father in law gets a call saying he won 2.5 million and a new mercades all he had to do was pay to have the car shipped...so he goes along with em and tells them he dont have that kind of money they said they would send him a check for 2500 to get his car and money..he could pay it back when he recieved the 2.5 and only a few days later he got a check and another call from the man tht sent the money telling him to deposit the check (cashiers check) into his bank account and call him back after it clears...strange
- BigA replies to tiger girlThe check is fake and will not clear the bank. Just because the money is there in the account and available does not mean that it cleared, and you will be held responsible to repay the bank, as well as a possibility of facing criminal charges for depositing a check that large that was fake.
Take the check and the envelope it came in to the nearest US postal facility and have them forward it to the Postal inspectors. - Me Again replies to ckkidJust got the same call. Showed up on our TV as Las Vegas but had a strong accent that was not from this country. Husband was messing with him but I took the phone and hung up on him. He called back right away. Hung up on him again. The scammers are scum.
- Sandra replies to milton| 1 replySorry we tried that they call nd. Verify the numbers. Best way to stop them is not to answer!
- Tamianth replies to SandraDo consider maybe getting a call blocking device or phone.. You can google them and many are around $60.00 or so.

- Tamianth replies to candicePerhaps you can have a Local Law Officer stop by and speak with him - this may help. Disconnect the phone or get a call blocker will also help. I do not know how to put this delicately, but you should seek a attorney and the courts help bottom line by removing his ability to access and allow these creeps to rob him blind. Go to your local news station and news paper also, perhaps if he reds in the local paper or hears it on his favorite local news it may help. Here's some News and also the links to the FTC's pages.

If you and the social services people cannot convince him to stop giving the scammers his money you may have to take him to court and have him declared incompetent. The courts will assign someone - probably you - to control his finances. The social services people can help you find a lawyer to get that done. - jane| 10 repliesI lost $500,000 and this guy by the name of David, and his American Alliance got me my money back,
His number is 413-[removed]
So guys don't feel it is the end - Slim replies to jane| 3 repliesLets see if I understand your shilling post correctly ...
You said you "lost" half a million dollars, and some company got it back for you?
How about telling us the rest of the tale?
* Which of the companies with "American Alliance" in their names did this for you?
* Did they go directly to jail, or pay you with monopoly money?
* What is the website / physical address of this helpful company?
* Were you able to comprehend all the previous posts identifying the scam, or was that beyond your cerebral capability? - MidNYteStorm replies to janeI have a better chance at getting $500,000 by placing a bet on the NY Jets making to the Super Bowl by the end of this season.
