won 2.5 million dollar scam
- taken for granted| 1 replyWe received a phone call that my dad won 2.5 million. That the people will drop off check tomorrow and we could meet at bank of american branch to deposit the check.....here's the catch ..go and purchase a green money dot pak car.. two for five hundred and one for two hundred dollars. Have the card in your posession and provide the number on the back of the card and give the numbers over the phone...yes you guessesit...they're now have the 1200.00 dollars and here we sit awaiting for the ceo and lawyer, ohye don't forget the press at the bank.
- Do I have stupid written on my forhead??I was called today to purchase a refill money pack from Walmart and then call them back with the number so that they can put it down on a package that was held in my name. She said I have to pay for the expired stamp so that my package could be delivered the next day from Fed Ex. Once they got the number from the refill money pak, it could be verified that I've paid for this expired stamp worth 250.00 and receive my winnings worth 2.5 million that I've won from a random drawing that Walmart has when you shop there.
- crookbusta| 8 repliesWas the call from an 876 number? Sounds like a Jamaican scammer.
- seasonedwthsalt| 4 repliesHow did you guys make the stop calling you? These people started out with the 2.5 million, and now they are calling from different numbers claiming they are from all sorts of places. They call 20 times a day, and it's always the same 2 or 3 people. If my husband messes with them they curse at him, and hang up. At&t is going to charge us to change the number. I'm sick of it! It's been going on for a month now.
- lone strangerChanging your number is probably a waste of money, as you will not only get random junk calls like these, you will also get the calls from the bill collectors, scammers, etc., that the last holder of your "new" number was trying to get away from.
There are better ways to solve this, and you can do it for free. Click on the link below to see my reply to someone else about how to permanently get unwanted calls out of your life:

They say I have to go to Walmart and buy some sort of scratch off card and wait until their "guy" gets there before I scratch it off. But before that, I have to call back the person who initially called me and give him the number off the back of the scratch off ticket. Who actually falls for this scam?!!
- A>TI just got this call now and it is a bunch of bull, they said that i need to call the sheriff office and pay the taxes on it first, so i called the office and they tell me that they dont even deal with these kind of prizes and i was a scam.

- yef replies to Brandon CentenoHow can you possibly ask if it's fake? Did you read ANY of the other posts in this thread? Did you read the title of the thread? Of course it's fake! And why would you post your email address on a public website unless you enjoy receiving even more scam and spam messages?!
- TheToxicAvenger replies to Brandon Centeno| 3 repliesThese rodents have been particularly active over the past 3 weeks. In researching this particular scam, I learned that over 30,000 calls are placed DAILY from Jamaica to the US for the purpose of swindling/extorting money.
Just when I thought I had heard the last from these filthy, little animals, I received a call from someone claiming his name is "John Felix" (what is it with these clowns - do they think every white person in the US has "John" for a first name?) In any event, this "John" was calling to tell me I had won 3.5 million dollars! As it turns out, this SHLF (Sub Human Life Form) was NOT connected to the scam operation that contacted me two weeks earlier. In that scheme, I was contacted by a "John Baker" who instructed me to get a Green Dot Money card from CVS to pay my registration fees because I had won 2.5 million from "Mega Millions."
Most of these calls are being placed via Magic Jack and the audio quality is very poor. So poor, in fact, I had to abandon my recording of the call just to understand this worthless [***]. In order to once again pay for "registration fees of 5%," I was instructed to obtain a Money Gram for $499.25 and that I would be sending it to "Lloyd David Cook, 5201 Vermont Ave, Los Angeles, CA" Turns out that address is some sort of homeless rehab facility. - naomi replies to crookbustayep happened to me careful 876#
- Doc| 3 repliesindian man telling me i've won two million dollars, but i have to pay a fee of $355 dollars to get it. i pretended to believe him and went along with it. when he found out i was messing with him, he used extreme profanity towards me, and threatened to kill me.
i am not making this up. please put a stop to these people!
