"202" AREA CODE FRAUD AND SCAM CALLS

I keep getting calls from 202-657-2521 and when I answer nobody there. I try calling back and says line busy. I believe this is a scammer

Julie, it's a shame that you didn't use the PHONE NUMBER SEARCH at the right side of EVERY PAGE OF THIS WEBSITE (or at the bottom, depending on what type of device you use to access this site).  If you had, you would have found 11 (eleven!) pages of previously posted reports and information about calls from this number.  To save you the trouble of actually having to use the search box, I actually entered the phone number you reported and found the first of the eleven pages here:

caller from Washington DC phone 202-738-1853 calls in the early morning. You can tell there is someone on the other end (hear breathing) but they do not talk back.

Today I had a call from 202-464-2549(well that is actually the number they asked me to call back on the recording)...the original call showed up on caller ID as 938-565-3631 -- stating "Hello, we have final notice from the IRS Internal Revenue Service, filing lawsuit against you."  Seriously who do these people think they are????  IRS has to notify you via certified mail - I was not amused.

I received a call from 202-379-1881 saying its my last notice from the IRS and of course I never received anything prior from the IRS.
