Scammed from thief in Nigeria through western union. Can I get my money back?

What does your post have to do with the topic of this thread, which is clearly about getting money back from Nigerian thieves?

I am soo stupid, I let someone take control of my computor to fix a printer error, then he accidently puts $6000.00 in my bank acct; then tells me he will get the attorneys involved if i don't give him back the $$, so I stupidly went to Target & bought $5500. in gift cards, then read him the numbers, he took my Social Security & my life savings, I've wrote to the FBI>BBB> FTC, no one can get my $$ back!! Target should have a big sign not to buy huge amounts of gift cards as it is a scam!!

Have you talked to your bank about this? That should have been your first step, not going to Target to buy gift cards.
Oh, and please use this website properly by posting your experience in the thread for the number that called you. More people will benefit from your doing so than from you posting in a random thread that will soon disappear from the home page.

He didn't "take" your SS and life savings.  You willingly gave it to him. You've learned a very valuable, and expensive lesson. Share it with everybody you know, and perhaps they won't be as naive as you were.

Is there any specific reason why 800NOTES is now the most useless site of it's type on the internet? You used to log in all calls by the number of their Caller ID information. Now, there is NOTHING. I used to visit this site EVERY SINGLE DAY, often several times a day.  I always clicked on your ads to try to support you but now I only visit once each month or less. 800NOTES you OWE US an explanation on your NEWS page.

What are you talking about? All you have to do is type in the number that called you, just like always. If there's no information for a given number, it means no one has started a thread for it because no one has been called by it yet. Which thus means YOU could be the very first person to post in that thread.

"You used to log in all calls by the number of their Caller ID information."  The number threads are still there.  If you are a regular visitor to this site, then you should know that your post is not relevant to this thread and has nothing to do with the subject matter of this thread.  So why did you decide to put it in here?  You must have dredged this thread up for a reason.

In other words which escape you, the home page does not display phone numbers to the unregistered. The change was made quite a while ago, last year maybe. If you dislike the current home page format, blame the spammers and trolls who made it necessary. If you wish to protest, contact Admin. If you want to help maintain civil discourse around here, refrain from tossing tantrums which are way off topic.

By the way, I've observed that "the most useless site" for nuisance calls is the kind which is hosted outside North America, riddled with grammatical errors, and routinely steals most of its content from 800Notes while inserting its own fake names and comments. There must be a hundred like that by now. But it's a free market, and you can try any of those cheap knockoffs if they provide what you want.
