- Joni| 2 repliesI got Western Union money from a guy in New York he say where he from but he couldn't wire it his secretary did from Nevada he says so I can send to guy in Nigeria. Since I got $ can I keep it and not get in trouble
- Tygerkat replies to JoniYour story is missing a lot of details. Why would "a guy in New York" send money to you to send to someone else? And why would you think that stealing his money is okay?
- MikeHuntleton replies to Joni
So wouldn't THAT alone raise a red flag on why ANYONE would need you to send money, if they already have a secretary to send money?Quote:he couldn't wire it his secretary did from Nevada
No, its going to be a fake and you will owe it back to your bank with penalties if you cash it. You might want to read this:Quote:Since I got $ can I keep it and not get in trouble

- Karen Giraldo| 2 repliesI am so stupid and so generous I gave a guy a lot of iTunes ,a lot of money ,I'm so stupid .
- MikeHuntleton replies to Karen GiraldoSomehow I don't believe the REAL "Karen" would have included her Last name, just to say that. Perhaps its someone your mad at?
- GregAtTheBeach replies to Karen GiraldoInstead of "generous", I would use other "g" words..."gullible" and "greedy" come to mind. I trust that you learned a very valuable lesson?
- jeff| 1 replyAmazing that they can get folks to fall for these obvious scams. I usually get rid of them by telling them that I've won the Australian lottery 3 times, the Guinness prize twice, and have received several boxes of cash from Nigeria. Yes these things were all promised to me via scam emails. Then I tell them that I'm so rich I want to share the wealth so after they send me a cashier's check along with their personal information including their bank account number and bank contact, I'll give them half the money. Shuts them up every time.
