check your internet connection. you most likely have VPN or some program or plugin that allows you to browse privately.

I have occasionally found myself blocked by the OctoNet HTTP filter, after using the site for a few minutes. I just figure something has gotten honked up on the server and so stop trying. Return a few hours later and can access the site again with no blocking. There have been times the site goes offline. No biggie.
I have discovered that clicking through pages in a thread too quickly can get the filter to lock you out for a while.

I get that message from certain sites whenever I use a program like Hotspot Shield which disguises your IP address and location. As soon as I disconnect from the program I am unblocked.

Subject: Looks to me like you you have OctoNet blocker running backwards
According to the Microsoft Community website, the purpose of the Octonet Http blocker is to block VPN users. So, I attempted to access 800 notes while NOT using VPN and Octonet blocked me. Right now I'm using proxy and vpn and it's letting me thru. If you're paying money to use OctoNet, guess what? They're ripping you off.
You have a wonderful website and service; you shouldn't be alienating reputable users. Thank you.
And I am not using a VPN and have had no problem accessing 800notes for days ... maybe your IP address (or subnet) got blocked because of malicious traffic emanating from it ?
When I had ordinary DSL, I could turn off my modem, wait about 5 minutes, turn it on again, and get an IP address that was different from what I was using earlier. So I could easily end up on an IP address being used by an unscrupulous character or botnetted computers, due to "carrier-grade NAT".
Well, for my website, i've not used OctoNet, and don't plan to. I've been having good success using Cleartalk.org, to eliminate nefarious login attempts. After months of using ClearTalk, i've had no need to make any adjustments. Prior to using ClearTalk, i was getting hit with malicious "join" attempts at the rate of about 6 times per minute. Now, all is quiet. Disclaimer: I have no fiduciary relationship with ClearTalk.
