DEA Extortion scam
Report Extortion Scam: 1-877-792-2873
http://www.deadiversion.usdoj.gov/pubs/pressreleases/extortion_scam.htm - Ms. Guilable| 1 replyI received the exact same phone call this morning from a, "DEA customs" agent. He scared the crap out of me telling me to, "pack a tooth brush because in 45 minutes he would be sending the DEA at my house and what really had me going was he knew my actual home address and home phone number.. so silly me fell for it.
I was so scared I contacted my lawyer who in turn contacted his phone number which by the way was a Tennennesse number when I reside in NYS.
My lawyer began to speak to this fake agent and then he heard gigling in the back ground and the call suddenley was terminated. At this point he knew it was some sort of scam. But that still didnt help me feel better at the time. I cannot beleive people would stoop so low and do this to innocent folks. I hate to even say this, but after reading the blogs, I feel better and less worried that this happens a lot and is pretty wide spread. These people must be stopped. - NYC Joseph replies to Ms. GuilablePlease do not be afraid. Please know this is a long-running scam that has trapped many people due to the fear and intimidation these bullies are able to instill in their victims. Nothing will ever happen to you. No one is coming, No warrants or paperwork of any kind will be filed, nothing will happen. These guys call me daily and have done so on and off for years. I tell them they are a fraud, I laugh, I poke fun at them, they scream and try to scare but it only makes me laugh harder. They go away. There is no reason to argue or debate with them, there is no issue other than their harassing you. When the they call, simply take a breath and think this is nothing other than some sort of sick nuisance and let it go. Eventually, you will be found no "suitable" for being a victim and they will move on.
- Keir| 1 replyI didn't receive a phone call from fakers, but I did receive an email regarding illegal drugs, don't know if it's the same thing but here is the message

I know it's fake but I wonder if it's the same thing you guys are talking about. And I was wondering if I should report it and delete it or just delete it, please reply back quickly. Cause if they can reach you by phone they can also probably reach you by email as well. What's screwed up is this, sender's email is > From: Sgtsnodawg (amdugogi@mail-me.com) mine is sgtsnodawg666@hotmail.com, what are the odds they have the same first nickname as mine? - Tamianth replies to KeirYou can report this to the cyber crimes division of the FBI here:

http://www.fbi.gov/ - Cody Hopkins| 1 replyHad this happen today 3/25/14 told me I ordered mess that were illegal and if I paid a fine it would all go away. $1400 sent western union. He said he had to talk to a superviser to clear it and I wouldn't be charged. I wish I could find this guy!!
- Pissed-In-Indiana replies to Cody HopkinsAre you saying you actually PAID this guy $1400?
Did you EVER order medications through an online pharmacy?
Your money is gone............... - Rhonda replies to ROFLMAO!!Wait until you get calls from officer mike rivas and officer barnes wanting you to send different amounts of money to the Dominican Republic for purchasing over the internet, They are very convincing and even have a judge calling you. All of the numbers have been reported to the dea and local authorities. The numbers are 901-217-5921 and 209-466-8590 and 804 area codes also, DO NOT FALL FOR THESE SCAMS.
- Axm| 1 replyFirst some named Agent/Detective Eric Barnes called, he said that his boss was going to call me. His boss called me back, he's name was Mike Rivas phone 901-217-5921, he informed me that US Customs and Border patrol had detained a package of with illegal drugs coming to my house from Dominican Republic. That's when I knew he was full of it!
He said that I could pay the fine and avoid going to court because a warrant for my arrest was issued that morning, and the fine was $800 dollars! I told him I can't pay that and he insisted that if I don't pay I would have to deal with court, he even read my rights and told me if I can't afford an attorney one could be assigned to me for court time.
I told him I take my chances at court since I had no order anything, he got real mad and said there would be 2 officers to detain me in 30 minutes at my home, of course the law never arrived.
They are full of it! don't fall for this scam! - John Doe replies to elizabethI got a call from "Anthony Williams", phoned number 410-384-8736. He said he was with the DEA and had a heavy Hispanic accent. When asked how could he have the name "Williams" with his heavy accent, he hung up.
- Kate replies to NyeI was a victim of the same scam in Nov. 2011. Same Sgt. Wright, same Julio Joseph. I cant hardly believe they are still using the same names. They pulled that same stunt word for word on me starting the Tuesday before Thanksgiving. I am embarrased to admit that I fell for it, too. They know all the lingo and the area code that got me was a DC area code where the DEA in Washington is located. When i look back, I wish i'd took 5 mins. and called my brother who is a cop to see if he knew of this scam, or call the number back on the off chance that it was real. The big red flag that I didn't stop and pay attention to was Dominician Republic. Just seeing these new posts makes my blood boil!
- omigoodness312-428-6477 too > Add to the list, hitting IL with warnings they are DEA and sending marshalls if no reply to message left. BAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA....
- TampaDude replies to AxmYou should've called them back and told them you were still waiting for the cops to show up. Tell them you'll be upset if the cops don't come over soon, because "then you'll have to eat all these donuts by yourself." LOL
