CallerId4U, Inc. - Millions of Illegal Telemarketing Calls

    206-397-1178
    Here's how it goes:

Phone rings, caller ID shows BIZ LOANS  206-397-1178

Answer to a recording:  "Hi, this is Ashley! "....  blah, blah, blah...  then the offer of "unsecured small business loans of up to $250,000.....  press 1 to speak to a representative, again press 1 to speak to a representative... or...  press 2 to be removed from our list"

I've pressed "2".  It doesn't work.  The calls continue.  I've pressed "1", and politely requested to be removed from the call list.  I've been told "sure, no problem", I've been hung up on, and I've been told to go F--- myself.

I have also played along with the call several times.  I've inquired as to the nature of the offer.  "How does your program work?  When could I get a check?  What bank are you with?  Where are you located?

Here's FACTUAL INFORMATION that I received from the individual on the other end of the line:

-Offering small business loans of up to $250K, based on your monthly credit card sales.
-Loan amount can be 2X your business' gross monthly credit card sales.
    -Based in New York
-The idiot on the other end of the phone is likely a minimum wage moron, due to the fact he/she has no authority to approve a loan in any way.  If you seem like a potential client/victim, they need to have a "loan supervisor" call you back.

Now, if I've got your attention, read this:

    http://www.merchantsolutionsgroup.com/how_it_works.html

Everything in the link above is exactly the same as the sales pitch I received from the person claiming to
be with Merchant Solutions Group.  If MSG is not responsible for these calls, and the person on the other end of the phone is lying (highly doubtful), then MSG has a serious problem that they need to reconcile.  Again, highly doubtful.

I urge people to contact the FTC @ ftc.gov  as well as Merchant Solutions Group.  They ARE involved.  They might even be a legitimate business, but, either they're knowingly using a robocall service in conjunction with CALLERID4U, or there is an illegal operation out there pretending to be Merchant Solutions Group.  In either case, it would be in their best interests to correct this problem before something really bad happens...  like fines from the FTC, or lawsuits from the victims.  Maybe worse.

MERCHANT SOLUTIONS GROUP, a New York based company phishing for calls using a robocalling service based in Seattle named CALERID4U.

206-397-1178 = BIZ LOANS = MERCHANT SOLUTIONS GROUP

I received my notice yesterday in the mail but only checked it today. The small claims court judge did not find my interpretation of the TCPA regulations and case law convincing and did not award me any monetary damages.

Unfortunately, it looks like it will take action by the FTC or some kind of large class action to actually shut down this company.

Did anyone from CALLERID4u show up in court or did you get a default judgment?

Maduno and a lawyer showed up and argued against me. Their argument was basically that they are not liable because they didn't make the call.

Did you ask them who, if not them, made the calls?

Good job, going through with that lawsuit concerned customer, even though you didn't win. This is what needs to happen if we are ever to get callerid4u to shut down. The more lawsuits against the company will make it more notorious.

I've been reading the threads since I started receiving these calls last month.  Seems that the person posting the number (206)397-1178 linking merchant solutions group to callerid4u might be onto something.  I have also pressed 1 to speak with a live person about the loan the recording offers.  Up to 250,000 dollars unsecured, seemed too good to be true, so I asked some questions.  The person on the other end of the line said they were with merchant solutions group.  I asked why a company in NY would use a Seattle, WA phone number and they hung up.  When I checked out merchant solutions group website, it describes everything offered in the illegal prerecorded call that I recieved.  Anybody else getting the same recording from 206-397-1178 ???

Somebody please answer this dude. Callerid4u and especially Paul Maduno need to pay for their crimes.

Good job on the find too, we will get to the bottom of this scheme eventually and the harassment will stop. I hope.

Yes. They provided a version of the contracts JD published. It was signed by someone named: Alejandra Gonzalez d/b/a Caller Id Services.

Their email address was listed as calleridservicesba@gmail.com.

They said the number was being used by this person/business at the time the call was made.

I have been totally unable to find any evidence that this company exists. There is no company with this registered fictitious business name in Orange or LA counties. I have also been unable to track down anybody by the name of Alejandra Gonzalez who works in telemarketing or seems to be connected to Callerid4u. But this is such a common Hispanic name that it could be any number of people. It could also be someone in Mexico, given that that's where Callerid4u's "Compliance" center seems to be based.

Yes, Storm.  I've read that one also.  Check the 4th page post by SCAMTASTIC.  It clearly links CallerId4u to this phone number 206-397-1178, which appears is being used by a company in NY named Merchant Solutions Group.  Obviously these 2 companies conduct illegal business together.  Which one do you work for?

I discovered 800 Notes after I started to search the numbers from unwanted callers that appeared on caller id. I have dealt with numerous companies with past number seeking people I never heard of.
More recently my mother started to receive calls from telemarketers and I am convinced it is connected to a service she receives.
