usa payday loan is definetly a scam.
- WolfmanJack replies to José H| 2 repliesYeah right. $1 interest for $120. Sorry, but no one in their right mind would believe that. Maybe you meant $1.00 interest for every $1.20 of loan? And there is not a payday loan company anywhere that offers better than bank rates for an unsecured loan to a non credit worthy individual.
- Jose H replies to WolfmanJack| 1 replyRead carefully. 1st loan was only $1 interest. After that its about 10%. They use the 1st loan $1 to try to get you as a customer. After that its 10%. Give them a call and see for yourself (630) 585-0347. Its easy to be a sheep. Few will man up and admit they were mistaken.
- WolfmanJack replies to Jose HNot very hard to tell that you are lying. And why would I want to take out a loan from criminals?
- Resident47 replies to José HI see, so "USA Payday Loan" not pluralized is a fraud, but is squeaky clean when you add the 's'. Spam is not "an equal service" to the constant warning and debunking against a fundamentally flawed business model.
All the payday and title loan hacks shrug at their own usurious rates, as though the poor and unbanked don't deserve better, shortly before gutting a victimized customer like a pig carcass. - Dnessa replies to eddyI too was contacted them when I declined they sent me an email that was threatening to arrest me for a loan I never got. I replied and told them it was s scam and I would prosecute and they stopped lol
- Charlotte replies to Sweetcheeks13| 1 replyGathet as much information as possible. Call the Federsl Trade Commission and tell them what happened. They will steer you to the correct Government Branch if they cannot help. Good luck !!!
- B-Edwards replies to CharlotteSadly, I must inform you that Sweetcheeks13 has "left the building". She posted in 2013, nigh on 3 years ago and may not get the message.
- James bolden| 1 replyThey almost got me to... I went to the bank one morning and called them back and it was a guy talking bout a cruise when I ask was this the loan place he hangs up. Hour later..they called back and said that some guy said that I called... Then I knew it was a scam... And they are still calling and I never answer
- chainsaw replies to James boldenIt is my opinion that it is best to never call a scammer back nor to answer an unfamiliar number for all it does is place your number on the potential suckers list!!!

New Twists to Telephone Collection Scam Related to Delinquent Payday Loans
Washington, D.C.
February 21, 2012
FBI National Press Office
(202) 324-3691
The Internet Crime Complaint Center (IC3) continues to receive complaints from victims of payday loan telephone collection scams. As previously reported in December 2010, the typical payday loan scam involves a caller who claims the victim is delinquent on a payday loan and must make payment to avoid legal consequences.
Callers pose as representatives of the FBI, “Federal Legislative Department,” various law firms, or other legitimate-sounding agencies and claim to be collecting debts for companies such as United Cash Advance, U.S. Cash Advance, U.S. Cash Net, or other Internet check-cashing services. The fraudsters relentlessly call the victim’s home, cell phone, and place of employment in attempts to obtain payment. The callers refuse to provide information regarding the alleged payday loan or any documentation and become verbally abusive when questioned.
The IC3 has observed variations of this scam in which the caller tells the victim that there are outstanding warrants for the victim’s arrest. The caller claims that the basis of the warrants is non-payment of the underlying loan and/or hacking. If it’s the latter, the caller tells the victim that he or she is wanted for hacking into a business’ computer system to steal customer information. The caller will then demand payment via debit/credit card; in other cases, the caller further instructs victims to obtain a prepaid card to cover the payment.
The high-pressure collection tactics used by the fraudsters have also evolved. In one recent complaint, a person posed as a process server and appeared at the victim’s job. In another instance, a phony process server came to a victim’s home. In both cases, after claiming to be serving a court summons, the alleged process server said the victim could avoid going to court if he or she provided a debit card number for repayment of the loan.
If you are contacted by someone who is trying to collect a debt that you do not owe, you should:
◾Contact your local law enforcement agencies if you feel you are in immediate danger;
◾Contact your bank(s) and credit card companies;
◾Contact the three major credit bureaus and request an alert be put on your file;
◾If you have received a legitimate loan and want to verify that you do not have any outstanding obligation, contact the loan company directly;
◾File a complaint at www.IC3.gov. - CautiousCatI applied for a "loan" on "Cash Net USA" with in a few weeks they called me back stating I was qualified for a miniumum 5,000 loan. They began telling me about it, and I began asking the normal questions... he tells me all the ways they can transfer the money to me. I asked "western union?" He says, "yes." -"but you need to purchus a $250 ITunes gift card to varify the transaction and I would then receive the 5,250 back.. before giving him any further information, other than what he had already had to start, I than told him I wanted to reserch the company and look into it more. He began to explain why he wouldn't do such a thing, and he is here to help me.".I began asking why I needed to buy the "ITunes" gift card, and he *in his harsh accent * began repeating, "we would not want to do that... call us back when you can secure the payment.. I need money, but I'm not a complete sucker.but I know people ruin it for others .. help.
- Mary623 replies to phil (new orleans)I,was a victum of these scammers of usa loans just yesterday June 9,2016 as i was applying for a payday loan.they called me the man said his name was George Walters, & he told me i was approved for $1000,00 as well then told me i had ti go buy an itunes card for $100.00 but i refused to do that i told him if i needed to give him a 100.00 to put it on my capital one credit card & he did then tryed ti tell me it did not go through when in deed it did. So i told him that i would call him right back & i called capital one & they verified that it went through. So i call George right back & told him that i just spoke with capital one & that the payment did go through, George conveinatly saidhold on let me check something. Then said oh yes i do see tjat it went through. Then George said he needed me to give him another 225.00,but to use a differnt credit card, i told George No i would not di that that he waa a scam & he started yelling at,me saying he was not a scam. I told him i decided i did not want the loan & that he need to return my funds to the bank, he said i would have them back in 24 hours an im still waiting ti see it & today June 10,2016 he went and took 35.00 more out of my account. - Kayomi Moreno| 1 replyDefinitely a scam I fell for it I sent $200 to them and I am in the process of no money and I literally spawned something to get the money and they were gonna send me $2000 in my account I deposited the $200 and when I talked to Victor Watson he asked me how much was in my account and I said why do you need that information he stated it was a security question for the bank o only had $220 and he said he was gonna to confirm and call back when he called back he said there wasn't $300 and asked how much and that's when I knew that he was trying to take a full $300 & he ended up taking the full $200 anyways when I said I wanted to cancel.... sad day will never do that again lessened learned definitely needed money for bills.
- William replies to Kayomi MorenoGo to the police and file a report : theft by fraud.
Go to the bank and request the transaction be reversed so you get your money back.
The bank will also have to close that account and open a new one for you, as the scammer might try again later to get more money. - Feeling stupid replies to phil (new orleans)| 5 repliesThey got me too but insisted on iTunes cards for loan insurance being loan was unsecured. Stupidly I sent it and haven't Ben able to contact them since !
