law office russell miller
- dgli had at least 6 calls today from an "outfit" in Ca. regarding a payday loan and i had failed to repay etc. told me there were 3 criminal charges against me and my ss # for fed banking laws, fraud, theft by deception...i told him he was full of crap and none of this was true. they said call was being recorded, so i hope they got that part...after trying to get out of them who supposedly filed these charges, he said was i refusing to cooperate etc. and i said no. he then said i would be arrested at 5:30 today and removed from my place of employment. after searching on line, i see now i'm not the only person they've tried this scare tactic with...why and how do they get by with this kind of stuff. i don't get it!!! why do the laws not apply to these kinds of people??????
frustrated in tn. - jasonI just got a phone call from this guy in the Law Offices of Russell Miller and threatened me to be arrested at 5:30 telling me to tell my kids you know how it is in jail when I'm going to go to jail and I don't understand how this thread is going to go on taking care of for companies to be able to harass people like this and threaten their livelihood is just not the right way to do business. how do people get away with this kind of stuff this is ridiculous. I am no criminal I just don't understand how something like this can happen I don't even remember getting a loan from this place USA cash advance.

"Stop! This is a scam! In fact, a very new one - about a year or so old. See here:
http://paydayfreedom.com/blog/fraudulent-debt ... loan-debt-scam/
Typically, they phish your information out and then call and threaten you. They typically want you to wire the money, and often sound like they have accents or are calling from abroad. It is s scam, and no criminal action can be taken against you for debt, even if it is valid.
...
Considering that every violation is a $1,000 violation, it is safe to say they do not care, because this is a scam.
So next time they call, coolly tell them you are forwarding their information to the FBI. They will get very agitated, try to scare you a few more times, and then will hang up. You will never heard from them again after that, in most cases."
[Notice what the one asking above mentioned: "I have tried to cooperate with Mr. Miller - has an East Indian accent " ... big red flag!!! Indian accent but an American sounding name!]

in N County San Diego.
Doesn't look like either one is a collector.
The Encinitas location looks to be in the General Area where a bunch of retail outlets are (including a Kitchen Store I shop at on ocasion). I should go check it out just to see what their practice is. It's only about 35 minutes away from where I live. - Marine Viet Nam Vet| 1 replyToday my wife was threatened with arrest by the Russell Miller law firm. They said she committed bank fraud, internet fraud, and cc fraud. She asked who filed these charges and they said she wasn't cooperating with them. he told her they were federal charges and she need to pay back the money or go to jail. They told her she was being recorded and asked for her ss# which she did not give them. They said they have it anyway but would not read it off to her. They told her she would be arrested in the afternoon at her work place. Ironicly she does not work. I got on the phone and told they I called the local P.D. and the FBI which is exactly what I did. He then said "WHATEVER" and hung up and told me we were not cooperating with them, and it was too late that the police were on the way. They have middle eastern accents and American names. They try to get info from people and extorte money or scam money. I am a veteran Marine and a Viet Nam Vet. If you ask me, this is terrorisum and intimidation. Here is their phone # 415-690-1277. It might not be for long. Don't hide behind a phone, YOU ARE "COWARDS"!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I will do everything in my power to stop this from happening.Have you ever met someone you wished you didn't? That's me!!!!!!!
- Tamianth replies to Marine Viet Nam VetTry typing in that phone number on the search bar here.. most likely there is a thread about it already under the number, if not, start one! These scammers use so many numbers even spoofing real numbers. Do follow through with reports too. Phone company, FTC, FCC, FBI, State Attorney general office..
- Wm KJust got call and reported them ...please call this # to file a complaint ...1-855-411-2372
- Carrie B.I got a call a few minutes ago from 415-690-1277 they stated they were an agent from IRS and it was about in unpayed back taxes and that if I didn't pay I was scheduled to be arrested. He had a very thick accent that sounded very Indian but left the name David Jackson. Caller ID shows it coming from Belvedere CA. I called them from a different number and the same person gave me a different name. When I laughed and asked him what kind of scam he was doing he hung up on me. Just when I was starting to have fun.
