I'm a Amazon person and usually buy good used ones unless its a new title out .. We have a deal, my daughter collects the Valdemar, Ghatti and Green Riders, etc, so she gets those for Christmas and birthday's, and my collections I get some from the family and then we share, lol! We buy hard bound through most, except ST which is up to around 10 series now plus all the side books.. those do not normally come in HB. I use a netbook for ebooks. Its portable and covers internet if I need it. Figured I could keep a ton more books on that, lol!
My NOOK HD also connects to the internet and gets taken everywhere-I could check on Amazon to see if they have it-I don't mind doing that. Linda Greenlaw has other books out too-linking you her webpage: http://www.lindagreenlawbooks.com/

TAKING YOUR MONEY

You're all rather stupid. I AM a debt collector and its plain and simple. If you OWE the money, then PAY the money. If you dont think you do then FOLLOW UP ON YOU RECORDS! If someone called me about a debt I dont remember having AND has my personal information, then instead of HANGING UP or IGNORING the call I LOOK INTO IT. I dont understand why people WOULDNT show concern someone has their personal information. What if I am mistaken? What if the loan company goes by a different name now. What if I just plain forgot? At the end of the day, if it wasnt me then oh well. I dont have to be RUDE to someone who calls me about a debt. Its unnecessary and uncalled for. But if you DO owe the debt and you DENY every having it. Then of course im going to tell you all of the legal rights my company has and what we are legally aloud to do to you in each state. IE wage garnishment, leans, levy bank accounts, etc. People sit here and complain on and on about debt collectors and DESERVE every bit they have coming for them, you're sad and pathetic. And FRANKLY, people who refer to debt collectors as DEAD BEATS or WORTHLESS or CRIMINALS need to take a look in the mirror. Because last time I checked, I have a job. IM making money. IM paying my bills. Which seems to be the problem the rest of you have. Last I checked, I am binging money back into our worthless economy. What have you done with your life lately.
Sincerely, STILL TAKING YOUR MONEY.

3 Questions: 1) Are all of your bills current ? 2) Can you prove anyone here owes a debt ? 3) Can you prove anyone here doesn't have a job or isn't otherwise contributing society in a positive way?
It is not stupid to want verification of a debt. It is your RIGHT as a consumer.
Thanks so much for another helping of the illiterate bloviation and monochromatic worldview which so endears the entire debt collection industry to the nation's ever-shrinking club of massive wealth hoarders who find democracy and human decency to be a painful burden. Now may we please return to the actual topic, which concerns various forms of extortion rackets run by mouth-breathing cowards who hide behind disposable phone numbers and stupid internet tricks and false identities. If you could elevate your attention span past that of a red squirrel, you would have noted that fraudulent debt collection is but one of many ruses for scaring spiff money from a victim's pants which might have otherwise been foolishly wasted on food, housing, or medical care.

Sir B: He has the basement door closed, they don't know. Parents really should watch what their kids do online! Oh for the days when you just had to worry about 'Black Sabbath' records. (please don't anyone ask what a record is, or I'll make you watch a 16mm high school education film)

There is a very big difference between not paying your bills and being scammed! If you owe someone money you somewhat deserve what comes next in the collection process. I do believe consumers should be protected, but the problem with all the C.f.p.b and fdcpa is that debtors are protected to the point that they start to believe they shouldnt or dont have to pay their bills anymore. Why would i waste my time to get a debtor the affidavit of indebtidness or chain and title information when all thats going to happen is i never hear back from them? Point is that the more laws there are to protect debtors, then the more creative and tough i have to be to try and collect from them. I work for a legit company. I can get anyones personal information that i want..If i wanted to be a fraud then i could. It just gets old people complaining about all the calls and family getting called..Its pretty simple just call and say your not paying this or have an attorney call me! Even on my phone nbr people only put the bad reviews on it. I have saved so many people money and helped with payment plans and garnishments but still all people want to do is complain..This will never end..Its a hard job but somebodys got to do it or the ecomomy would collapse within a month
No it wouldn't. The majority of people are honest and do pay their bills.
Also, many hospitals have been known to send accounts to collections after 90 days whether the account was being paid on or not. I'm not saying all creditors do that, but some do .So trust me, "pay your bills, ya deadbeat" gets old too. Just because it was in collections doesn't mean someone wasn't paying their bills.
Why would you waste your time with providing validation? Oh, I don't know, ummm..... hmmmm... is it because you are LEGALLY OBLIGED to do so when asked??? If your description of being "creative and tough" includes FDCPA violations, then you may find yourself on the receiving end of a lawsuit. If you have followed the FDCPA in trying to collect a debt and still haven't gotten paid, then by all means, sue the person. Put up or shut up. Follow the law and stop whining. It's your choice to be a debt collector. the economy collapsing in a month --a big giant LOL on that one.
