But, it seems red stamps have gone the way of the nickel pay phone and yellow Western Union telegrams.
Even the gormless might learn that a SUSPECT or BUSTED stamp meant the underlying post was a scam.

PMAs can help keep down the "noise level" in the threads, but their educational value is lacking.  Also, unfortunately, both pre-PMAd and non-PMAd posts seem to act as magnets for others to add their own statements, that often turn into troll food.

Did you know that Louisiana was one of the last (if not the last) states to go from the nickel pay phone to the dime pay phone? And then from a dime to a quarter?

I remember people griping about having to pay more for a pay phone than we did. Sometimes dragging your feet isn't such a bad thing.

Slim, do what I do.  I bought a bunch of post it notes and a busted stamp and some red ink.  Then I just put the post it over the offending post and there you have it, a nice red busted stamp.  It is getting a bit hard to see the screen because of all those post it notes.  Think I need to come up with something better?  :}
