The national suicide hotline has people answering the call. They have plenty of lines so I am not keeping anyone from recieving help.

I was just talking to the idiots from 501-669-5219. They call lasted 26 minutes...the longest ever! I gave them my fake card number and asked a lot of questions...I gave them the suicide hotline number..and the idiot called it. He then, instead of getting the hint, asked to verify the information again. Which I did. Then he had his supervisor on the phone and I asked him a ton of questions. Then the phone call was handed back to the first person I talked to. He told me that the 800 number I gave him was a suicide hotline. I then told him I did have another number on the card. lol I gave him the FBI hotline and he called it. lol He finally talked to a supervisor and hung up on me.
Two minutes later he calls me back from 888-976-6694 and wanted to help me out and wanted to know why I gave him those numbers. I tried to get him to tell me the company name, but he came up with all kinds of excuses. He finally hung up on me after 6 minutes on the phone.

Even if I say nothing it carries more importance than anything your brain synapses could come up with. Assuming you have working ones that is.

BigA - sooo you must love theses scammers calling you 5 times a day. We are on this site to figure out a way to shut them down to keep them from harassing us. They call us from spoofed numbers, refuse to take us off their call list. They laugh at us, call us names, etc and we have no recourse. This site is helping us to turn their scam on them. Yes I do waste my time talking to them, but I am also keeping them from scamming someone else.
The 888-976-6694 is a live number! Everyone needs to call them. They told me they are LAR Group finiancial advisors located in Arizona. I asked the lady what LAR stood for and she told me it stands for Lower Interest Rate group. I told her that stood for LIR not LAR. She said that she said LIR...which she didn't.
Shame on you. Your solution is to victimize others? Yes, doing this, YOU will be victimizing OTHERS, just like these scammers do. Tying up a phone line that a suicidal individual needs.....wow. You realize the line almost shut down because of lack of funding, and you want to waste their money and time they could be using helping others?
Enhance your problem-solving and critical thinking skills before you find yourself in jail.

I am certified in counseling and you have to sign something agreeing to refer your clients to the suicide hotline if you feel you can't help them. I have never referred even one person to that hotline ever. I am well aware of that line's effectiveness and on a scale of 1 to 10 I would rate them as 2. They are never busy either.....
Please provide a source for this, because your post seems ridiculous. I've been a Licensed Professional Counselor in multiple states and have never heard of having "to sign something agreeing to refer your clients to the suicide hotline if you feel you can't help them." Maybe this is specific to your organization for liability purposes, or maybe because you are only certified and not and don't hold a license? But I'd like to know what you are talking about.
By the way, the suicide hotline has saved thousands of lives, which I would not describe as ineffective.
Without going into personal details suffice to say that when you are certified and licensed in counseling from a certain perspective you attract a lot of abused women and young vets. High risk for suicide. You are right, its partly due to liability reasons. The institution made me sign it, not the board. None of my clients have ever committed suicide. The hotline is very generic, but better than nothing I suppose.
Apparently its not working out too well is it? they have the highest rate of suicide go check the stats.

The company that called me yesterday slipped up and now I have their info. I called them and acted like I wanted to lower my interest rate. The company is LIR Group. They have an office in Phoenix, Arizona from which they called me from their toll free number. I googled the company today and found they have an office in Tempe listed on the BBB.org site. I called their toll free number and it is the same company...I had them on the phone for 20 minutes trying to get them to lower my interest on my fake card. Here is their info.
