DMCA abuse: George Caceres, Web Sheriff, John E. Henehan
Yesterday we received a DMCA report related to the 877-214-0770 thread. It was submitted by WEB SHERIFF and mentioned GEORGE CACERES as the rights owner, however in the "Infringing Materials" section they did not list any copyright violations. Instead, they wrote about defamation, libellous allegations and even infringement of human rights, but did not specify any

- JohnDMCA notices are filed under penalty of perjury but it seems no one is ever prosecuted for it. Maybe one a blatantly false as this one would be a good place to start.
- Tony replies to JoeyOr take his buddy Dick Cheney to go hunting in South Texas.
- MC"Web Sheriff" just filed over 200 DCMA complaints against me in regard to photos of a very public person. He claims to represent the person but refuses to show me his letter of authority. He also told my hosts that he sent me a copy of the notices. He didn't. He included all these other complaints about stalking, harassing...which I most certainly have never done. I make sure everything I write is 100% the truth backed up with facts. He also states that the photos in question are personal, private, confidential. They are photos of a very public person taken by others in public places owned by others which were posted online by the person. My hosts didn't remove any of the items as I am using them under the fair act of copyright. I don't see the guy winning any copyright lawsuits. Has he won any of his lawsuits?

- GH replies to KristyKirtsy, Who is Mr Green?
- MarcSounds like a copyright troll. They tend to send messages to website owners claiming they represent someone who owns intellectual property and asks you under the DMCA to take down the alleged material when they don't represent the owner and probably have no idea who actually owns the copyright or intellectual property in question.
- CJWeb Sheriff's been around since AOL came into existence. Just ignore him. He's an extortion artist, has no real backbone to do anything. Often doesn't even have permission to be acting on behalf of the people he's acting on. Act's before hand then tries to sell them the result as a service.
- Anon replies to KristyThey are extortion artists. You don't get a case number until a case is already turned in.....
- kdevLOL, me and websheriff go way back. I used to troll the [***] out of him and his "crew." I've been his worst enemy for over 10 years now. Glad I caught this info. I think I'll sick the dogs on him again for [***] and gigs. I had a buddy "in the know" that used to forward me the "cases" he was working on and we'd make it miserable for him by playing various tricks and various trolling methods. Needless to say I think he'd like to see me in jail or dead. But neither will ever be a result of his work. If he harasses you, let me know at legal@kdev.us and I'll start ramping up serious attempts legally, at making him cease and desist. I have a friend who also has information pertaining to his DMCA abuses. Why that has never been forwarded to Porter (the person managing complaints concerning his DMCA abuses) is beyond me. I had enough folks at one time to have him legally shut down. I even had enough folks willing to file class action in unison as well but that never came to fruition, as his effect is just not really that mentionable or worth focusing time, money, and effort on. Guys a real loser. Just let him live out the rest of his miserable, broke, bored days on the internet trying to sift a few dollars out of unsuspecting folks. Anyone this guy contacted is a victim.
- Anne B replies to CelticDragon| 3 repliesActually, like most of the reports in, "rip-off reports", it is a scam. I think you'll probably never find a sheriff with this name, anywhere, or if you do, it would be by chance, only.
People need to stop being so gullible. Many people use that garbage site, "rip-off report", to abuse business owners and ex-lovers. Anyone who has no actual case (court case) can go there and post FALSE reports. People who believe their reports just haven't done their own due diligence. - CelticDragon replies to Anne BActually it's not all garbage. These idiots are users. Guess what-they can post whatever they want-this site's still here. And yes, people can do what you said, but that's why they have the rebuttal ability.
- itsmei just got a DMCA an they pulled the video an i got a strike an have to be a good boy till sep16-2016. see the problem is these scum bags are really screwing the copy right owners because this is how it works, you upload a video lets say a music video wat happens is the copy right owner monetizes it an they get the royalties from it an you cant monetize it so they get 100% prophets from it even if you just use the song an you do alllllllllll the video work an pulls in thousands of subs an views they get all the credit, exposure an financial gains an leave you with nothing except tht they dont pull the vid an you dont get a strike! aint tht wonderful!! so these web sh it heads are screwing the copy right owners
