"Inability to pay"? Really?? I bet they had assets of some kind that should have been seized, maybe houses, cars, etc., etc. The FTC needs to enforce its fines/judgments if it ever hopes to be taken seriously and, seriously, put criminals out of business!

I just can't believe that they are not doing jail time. I was stupid enough to fall for this and ended up on these sites where in order to qualify for i pod...I had to purchase one or two items offered for a dollar or nothing as long as I paid shipping. Problem is i would get things I did not order after that charged to my card. Beware of all offers of free as long as you pay shipping. There might be something so small that you can not read it and bamm, you have late payments because un wanted charges screwed everything up. It sucks being a law abiding citizen when the criminal is merely slapped on the hand. Shame on them.

Whatever happened to federal jail time?   Yes, it would cost the taxpayer, BUT it would be a deterrent to the other scammers.   It would be money well invested.

I believe the Obama Administration is taking action against these fraudulent telemarketers. So much has been accomplished by Preident Obama. I sincerely applaud him and our government.

Not only that, but the monetary judgment was suspended due to their "inability to pay" !! Essentially scammers got away with no penalties other than admonishments (which you know they will promptly ignore)--FTC pretty much a toothless tiger as far as I can see.
