- Randycalled me 8 times yesterday. The 2nd time they called, i answered and it was someone from another
country telling me i won a target gift card and all i had to do was pay shipping. I said i wasn't interested.
He called back an hour later. I told him to leave me alone. He called 5 times after that. Each time I screamed as loud as I could into the phone. Wish there was some way of finding these pissbags - James VarnellThey have called continuously for the last few days. I answered the phone today and after a conversation ended up giving them my credit card number donating $200.00 to Mitt Romney. After checking, I think that these people are not legitimate. I am trying to stop payment on my bank account.

- got their goat| 2 repliesafter several days of this number calling and my repeatedly asking nice and polite to be removed from their calling list and/or being put on their no call list...i got even.
when they called me a few minutes ago...i answered as if it was a sex chat line and asked for their credit card # and expiration date. the guy asked why...i informed him he called a sex chat and i had to have the info to bill him for the time he'll be on the phone talking to 'one of the girls' that it wasn't a free chat w/them. he told me he didn't want to talk sex and asked for someone i didn't even know. told him that none of the 'girls' were named that and again asked for his cc and expiration date...he again said he didn't want to talk that way and quickly hung up.
hmmmm i liked that! maybe if they call again i'll keep doing it until they finally remove my number from their call list! hehehe...if not...it'll at least give me a good time in turning the tables on them and not give them a chance to pitch whatever bs they're trying to pitch to me.
and it saved their hearing since i didn't blow whistles or horns or any yelling...just politely talking to them and explaining they contacted a sex chat room....ahhhh the joys of getting their goat!!!! ;)- Caller: unknown

- They CallI received a call from number 000-000-0000 about a month ago. The person asked to speak to someone who does not live here and I asked what the company name was and why they are calling. She replied, "Would I call my representative in support of gay marriages (or something like that?)”. When I asked for the company name she humbled something I would not understand. I simply said, “No, I will not call them”… Actually I should have given a reason. The last time I contacted my rep. the person sound as if I was bothering him and could care less. Anyway, that is another issue. I answered the call to say my number is private and to remove it from their list. To that she said, “Believe me; we will not have to call again”. It’s been a month and no further calls. My telephone company is right. Answer once, get their company name prior to answering questions, and then ask the number be removed.
- DanI've only gotten one call from them. They wanted my address, so they could send me a $200 gas card. It also sounded like an Indian calling station. Very weird, but I think they'll leave me alone.
- John Shepard replies to Yes FLR!Actually the number 1 in front of the number are used on all cell phones, just not local land-lines.
- TinaI don't know why this # is calling me >:(
- darlaIve received 8 calls from that number today, but no
one says anything. They just hang up.- Caller: don't knowledge
- TaraThis not quite the same thing, but I wanted to post my 2 cents anyway. I got a call with text showing "Private Name." That's not unusual, but above that it looked like it was supposed to be "000". But it looked more like "UUU". Not a number; it didn't even appear in any of the number fields. It was in the center.
My machine picked up, and there was static. Then it disconnected. Called at 6pm on the dot Sunday. The connection lasted long enough for the machine to record it as a "message."
Someone mentioned Portfolio Recovery. They've been calling me since July of last year looking for someone else. Each time, there's a different number on the display, though one time they called from a number that said "Unknown Name." I looked it up here, and it was Portfolio Recovery. Lot of posts from people.
My blocking service won't work unless it recognizes where the call is coming from AND it is in my service area. So it won't block everything. I tried it just in case the system knows the source even though it said "UUU". It didn't work. - JackForigen accent, said he was from Windows and my compouter was about to crash. He wanted remotre access to my computer to fix the problems. Like HELL.

- susanI have been receiving calls and text messages (with no text) from 0000000000 on my work blackberry for a couple days and today got 3 within a 3 hour timeframe. No messages left on my voice mai or text. If I do not recognize a number I usually do not pick up, figure if it is important they will leave a message. But it is very annoying!
