At 9am and then 11 am and usually in the late afternoon a 3rd time, up comes 000-000-0000. Today I answered. Are you Mr. ------ . A political call referring to Senator Rubio. Isn't it interesting that we consumers can list our names on the do not call list but political leaders are exempt, (people that make the law). I have made it a point to "Not vote for the political person using this way to contact hiding names and numbers". The caller this time said they were a hired phone survey.
I have in the past contributed to a political person or party. Once the party or person gets your number it gets shared or worse they sell it. (Newt Gingrich shared or sold my number). I never again will contribute to State, Federal  or political party campaigns. No more getting on a SUCKER LIST! And from this day forward, all my calls will get screened via my answering machine.

So my dad got a call from this number (000-000-0000) and when he answered it the person on the other lie was like "I have your computer locked and i will only unlock it if you give me money!" And then my dad was like "Listen up, for one thing you dont even have my computer, and also, you're talking to and FBI agent!!"

He's not really in the FBI but he said that so the weirdo would hang up LOL

Obviously, this problem is rampant!  Obviously, even Easter Sunday is not immune because I just got a call from the all zero phone number.  How many hundreds of complaints will it take before we, the general paying consumer can be free of this garbage??

I see 000-000-0000 every once in a while here at the office.  Normally I pick up and hang up immediately so it won't go into our voicemail system.    This time I picked it up and didn't say anything.  Surprisingly someone was on the other end.  I hung up on them.  Figured if it was important they'd call back and maybe MAYBE I'd answer.  They didn't call back.  Probably will tomorrow though.

Research the term "SPOOFED PHONE NUMBER".
Keep a clear record if calls you receive, the date & exact time, Caller ID info, and whatever calling number shows up (even though spoofed).
    1) File a complaint with FCC.gov
    2) Also, with FTC.gov
    3) Also your telephone carrier.
They are working to track these scams, but need your info to connect the dots.

Lately there are some new interagency actions to chase down these telescam animals. Find articles related to "spoofing," robocalls, and telemarketing list shares.
Learn about these tricks. Then immediately file complaints with FCC, FTC, and your phone carrier company. Keep accurate records.

Crook scum have access to cheaper, faster autodialling monstrosities, and fly-by-night VIOP sham companies provide all the connections and proxies hucksters need to mask their identities. What chumps can't control is the emergence of a vibrant community of angry telecommunications customers. We need to provide accurate info now. Ever-improving algorhyms and data flowthrough predictions will certainly nail some of the biggest crooks...and whisk away small fry who've got mixed up on the [***] end of a major real estate and credit refinancing juggarnaught. It will be funny during 3013-2014 which rats (smaller companies and dispensible go-betweens) will break away to reform new concerns while lesser patsies learn a hard stinging lesson about how nimble datastrikes will survive by diswelcoming nonrecogs well before any usuable negotiation attempt. You have a chance right now to HIT BACK AND HIT HARD!!!

They're nothing more than [***] with no values. We must strike together against them
There is a major effort against bad telemarketers, robocalls ,loan and debt refinancing schemes, and phoney collection agencies.

We need to record the simple facts, neatly & accurately. List each:
    Date
    Time
    Caller ID Info
Incoming phone number (even if spoofed)
    your comments

Send all thus info to FCC.gov, FTC.gov, and your phone's carrier. The only way the can work fast to swish these phone bugs is to analyze then cross reference the interrelated data points. Some back engineering algorhythms can recreate likely transmitter routes and pinpoint the origin. Wouldn't you love to know who these pheukerzz are?? I mean, they went through a lit of effort to find you, cajole you, threaten you. Do you want to show them live by yielding personal info and financial access?

Just started getting calls from this number. I don't answer unknown or hidden numbers and that seems to be the best policy. They never leave a message. Don't know if call block will work on 000-000-0000 but I am giving it a try.

This number has called my work several times in the last couple of days. I answered the 1st time and a day asked for my boss by name. He wasn't there so I asked if I could take a message. She said "no message" and hung up.  Today they called again and I answered and they again asked for my boss.  I asked who it was and they said The Republican Party and that they needed to speak with him. I said he wasn't available and if I could take a message.  He said no and said he would call back later.  I told him that this was a business and to NOT call back.  Next time I will say they have the wrong number and see if that helps.

I received a lot of these calls in the last couple of months and I never answered because it is obviously illegal. Got a letter from U.S. Bank that said they were going to ruin my credit for a credit card that I closed and paid off almost a year ago. I talked to somebody and after many hang ups they tell me that they have been calling practically daily. A $10k fine for each illegal phone call and there was over a hundred and I they want me to pay $300, Anybody know any good lawyers?

I have 2 calls a day for the past five days from this 000-000-0000 number.  When I do choose to pick up, it is silent except for an occasional scratchiness.  No one answers.  After approximately 5 seconds it hangs up.

Hangup call just now at 1:13 pm.  Soon as my machine picked up... click!
Why would anyone answer a call from such an obviously spoofed number as this one?
