- george williamsWhy do fcc allow such activity, there should be no number of 000-000-0000 allow anywhere with no name.

- Tired of Telemarketers| 1 replyEventhough I am on the do not call list, telemarketers still call anyway. The one the really bugs me is 1-000-000-000. No one ever answers. I normally do not pick up when this comes up on the caller ID but I sometimes pick up to see if anyone is there and what do they want. I probably get calls from this place 2 times a week. I'd love to find out who this is and sue the crap out of them!
- Sir Bedevere replies to Tired of TelemarketersDear Tired of Telemarketers,
First of all, they aren't telemarketers – they're criminals. Scammers. Con artists. Whatever your preferred epithet might be. 000-000-000 isn't a valid phone number anywhere: They're faking (or "spoofing") their Caller ID information. This is done mainly so the authorities can't catch and arrest them but it does also mean it's pretty much impossible for you to find and sue them. They may even be outside the country, so the lawsuit idea may be moot.
Sorry to be the bearer of bad news but I'm afraid there isn't much good news in this area at the moment... - Sylvia replies to AT&T techThank you! Get these calls all the time from 000-000-0000.. I like is someone checking on me.. but I am thinking now it is a research company.. thank you..
- vanessa6297My mom answered the call and she said the caller sounded like he was Indian or foreign because he was hard to understand. She beat the caller to the punch and said that the home owners weren't home and that she was the house sitter. Apparently the caller did not like that reply because he stated what do you mean your the house sitter. Then hung up.I wish there was a way to combat these calls because I have complained numerous times to the do not call list complaint division but nothing seems to be done.

- corywell messed up thing is i got a call from this number on 3/22/2013 during the afternoon i didnt have the time to answer so i just let my phone ring till they got to my voice mail. didnt get a voice mail, then that same night i went up to a newly open dollar general down the street from and got some food. then i got back home and looked at the receipt and the phone number that was on the list was this number but it seems a little strange
- A different JBOur local police department's reverse 911 system shows up as 000-000-0000 all the time!
They always leave a message, talking about which side of the street to park on, or changes in the garbage collection schedule, and to be on the lookout for an elderly person who escaped from the hospital wearing an open gown and wielding a lethal weapon -- a walking cane. So it's not telemarketing, but rather a new type of information-overload SPAM that is emerging these days.
I think that their service provider is AT&T. WTF? Go back to page 1 of these comments and see how one alleged AT&T employee was ranting about how illegal it is to make calls from an unregistered number and mask your caller ID. I think I am going to march right into the poh-leece station and place the whole lot of them under Citizen's arrest for abusing their authority by misusing emergency response equipment. Then I'll drop the charges if they promise to actually start enforcing the Telemarketing Fraud and DoNotCall laws.- Caller: The Local Police Department's Reverse 911 system with caller ID 000-000-0000
- Unknown PosterReceived a call from 000-000-0000. Someone wanting to know if I needed my house painted. When I asked how he got my unlisted number, he said he ran my address on Google. Scary, since he did have the address correct. I again told him my number is unlisted, at which time he hung up. Don't know who it was or how he got my number and address, but I will continue to remove any/all my personal information from any cyber source I can.

- A. Nonie Mouse replies to AT&T techActually, I WAS able to obtain this result before posting this answer using some combination of VOIP provider and/or cell phone provider, but I can no longer duplicate the result of having the caller display as 000-000-0000. I may try this again, because I actually SAW it occur at least once when I was testing it, and if it did occur, it is an indication (based on your post) that some phone service (or an ATA adapter) is not following your rules or is misconfigured.
- ThompsonDDH711@aol.com replies to BrookeI dont pick up on calls from any area codes or numbers that I dont recognize.
