- KBwho ever heard of a number 000-000-0000 - my cell phone was "saying it" ..I didn't answer at first, when picked up it immediately went to missed call (after 3 rings only)...figure its some kind of spam. interesting the number of posters listed on here that have calls from a number that doesn't even sound 'real" (all zeros??? come on). not dialing back. could be one of those things that has way of billing your phone for a call - or spam or whatever
- kbwhat kind of phone number is that. all zeros.
- Rox replies to Irritated_MommyToday I received a call form the number 0000000000 and it was first a women with and Indian accent than passed me to a man with an Indian accent telling me than I got a grant form the government but I had to put 250 first!!! I ask for his name and he told me it was Brad hopes. Than I ask him form where he was calling from and he said New York... I already block the number
- Bear-FlagIf you've gonna try and spoof a number, but more effort into it than this. I didn’t answer, and the caller did not go through the prompts to bypass my call screening device.
- Sally000-0000 This six digit # called my cell_ Since I thought it was extremely weird, I did not answer. No message was left. Probably a scammer.
- Caller: 000-0000 SCAMMER
- Mrfxt| 2 repliesI really can't remember seeing so many fools on one website. Clearly it is a phony spoofed number, so why would anyone with a brain answer it? Think about it: If it were a real number, and you were local to the area code, the first 0 you dialed would get you the operator, and you wouldn't be able to complete the rest of the zeros in the number. Therefore, there can NEVER be a legitimate number with a 0 at the beginning of an area code or the exchange number (the next 3 numbers), otherwise you would always be immediately calling an operator. All the conspiracy theorists that believe it is the government or the cops are just idiots, or people trying to freak you out for fun. And there is no way they can hack your computer through this phony number unless you follow their directions by typing what they tell you into a Command Prompt (black background) window. Simply ignore the call or block the number, but don't answer it unless you want to screw with the caller, which is sometimes quite funny. These type of calls are always generated from a computer so they can fool your caller ID with number spoofing software. They usually randomly call a number, and if they get a response, they will continue to spoof your caller ID with hundreds of phony numbers, always trying to get personal info or credit card info. Try calling 000-0000 or 000-000-0000 and see that you will always get an operator, and possible extra charges on your phone for using an operator. There is absolutely nothing to be scared of, unless you answer and give them any info or do what they tell you to do on your computer. The reason these type of calls are getting so prolific is because there are so many people who fall for this stuff and they are able to scam money from them. The bottom line is, never answer unknown numbers. If they are legit, they will leave a message identifying themselves.
- Caller: Scammer
- Mrfxt replies to Carla| 1 replyNo, because there are WAY too many stupid people in the world who fall for it and answer the phone. They must be scamming some money to make them keep trying it.
- Mrfxt replies to UnkownThey know your name because it's a listed number. The vast majority of people have names listed with their number. They are not necessarily hackers, just very lazy crooks!
- Anonymous replies to Mrfxt| 1 replyDespite what you say this is the MOST complained number on 800notes. It's also permanently.....
*************************************************** B L O C K E D *************************************************** - Mrfxt replies to RDI think you should immediately call them back, and type whatever they tell you into your computer so they gain control of it so they can rip you off for whatever they can. NOT!
- Anonymous| 1 replyThis number called me. I picked up the phone and a man with a deep Transylvanian accent answered in a deep, low voice and told me he was a vampire. I said, "Get out of town, Charlie Brown.". Then he said "FU" and hung up.
- Caller: Dracula
- Mrfxt replies to AnonymousYes it is, with 378 pages of complaints, because some ignorant people answer and do what the caller says! As long as there are gullible people out there, it will continue forever. Either don't answer unknown numbers, or just block them. Simple solution.
- Mrfxt replies to AnonymousI hope you realize how lucky you are that he didn't come through the phone and bite you, because the phone is quite close to your neck....Better use the speakerphone function and stand far away when you answer next time, or you might not be so lucky!!!!! Funny!!!
- Yo replies to MrfxtI doubt Carla will come back and see your post
- UggghThese Indians just won't give up!
- Suze| 1 replyReceived a call from this number late last night! DON'T CALL OUR PHONE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
- Bob| 1 replyJust got blocked call from this number. I blocked this number so long ago I had forgotten it. My point is, where is the danged government or the carriers and why are they not dealing with these calls? How many dollars are spent a year by the U.S. population chasing, buying blocking equipment, being scammed and of course the ever popular government black hole of waste called 'Do Not Call' clowns? This is a criminal act which seems to be supported by a lack of any real effort on the part of the government or the carriers.
- Mrfxt replies to BobBecause the government or the "Do Not Call" list cannot control computer calls to you from foreign countries. You control them by not answering them or by blocking them. What makes them continue are the gullible people who cater to them. It only takes a couple of people out of thousands of calls to give them money or access to their computers for these scams to continue.
- celli| 1 replyIt has become pure harassment with these people. Calling 3-4 times a day back to back. I have never answered it and finally, hopefully was able to block it today. Last nite they called and my answering machine picked up and it was a bunch of, sounded Hispanic, people laughing and carrying on until finally the machine cut them off. Then here they are again today. How do they get away with getting a number that is all zeros?
- Caller: name unavailable
- Anyone replies to celliSpoofed caller id. Most of these calls are from overseas as well. Ignore and block, the best move you can make.
