- RayJust received a call from 727-498-0504.....I don't normally answer calls from #'s I don't know, but was expecting a call .& thought this could be it. A young man with Indian/Pakistan accent told me that my computer was in danger of having major problems & that I needed to go on my computer right then! Well, a friend had just received a call like this yesterday...so I knew it was a scam! I told the guy I was at my computer (I wasn't) & he told me to push down the "r" key & "windows" key. I told him I was doing that. He asked what did I see on my screen. I told him it was blank. He said "what!?!" I repeated..."it's blank....just a black screen... ". He said "that's because you are Not at your computer!" I turned the tables & was indignant, "what!?!" He asked again what I saw on the screen. Once again Itold him it was blank. He said "is it blank on your screen, or is it blank in your eyes?" Huh? I started laughing. He was quiet. I said "hello! HELLO!" He hung up! I could hear what sounded like a phone bank in the background. Immediately I got a call from 000-000-0000. I didn't pick up. Then a minute later that # called again. I didn't answer. Hope they don 't call anymore. My friend said dhe used a fake accent & the guy hung up. Another (kinda fun) thong someone suggested: if you don't recognize the #, answer the phone in a booming voice "HELLO! This is WFKU! You are LIVE on the air!" & they'll hang up! Gotta get
our kicks somehow if these scammers keep trying to mess with us!- Caller: For microsoft windows

- ErinI know who this is, they are a scamming company in India, the tell you various things, student lone forgiveness, it's debt, you have won a . . . I know this because they have been harassing me for months now. I often mess with then quite severely, they know me very well at this point because they get very depressed tone when they realize their Autodialer called me. I have even one say, "oh no" when I told him they must not have told you about me. Telling them to remove your number is useless, they will call with another scam, and I am almost positive it is illegal and so I doubt no call lists would be honored. They will call from many different numbers and most are regular area codes, some 800 numbers, they only work to call them back for about a week, and boy do I call them back. This blank number is interesting though.

- KrysFor the past week this same number continues to call me everyday, multiple times a day asking for someone I do not know - I stayed on the line and it seems like a collection call? A man with an Indian accent was connected to me and I asked to be placed on the do not call list. Interesting.

- Operator replies to SabelleI am sure you realized this upon posting in this 000-000-0000 forum, but that 800-355-2470 number also has its own thread on 800notes. Not exactly sterile numbers making their claim to fame here, so one should always treat such calls cautiously.
- MLSCaller ID "Private Caller" with a 000-000-0000 number cannot be blocked or redialed, but their call can be erased. The so called "Private Caller" is using a Cell Phone with an Anonymous iPhone Number App that they downloaded to prevent people from knowing who they are. So, there must be an APP to Block these callers on landlines and iphone. Call your phone service and ask. Anyhow, I received a "Private Caller" today who asked me who they were speaking to. "FY" and hung up. Happy Holidays!
