These people call me 5-6 times per week.  It's been going on for 4 years now.   It's always the same.  A recorded message for credit counselling, vacations etc etc etc.

This time I responded.  I tried this last week, but the first thing I said was "what is the name of your company".  The operator wouldn't respond.  This time however I played dumb and said I owe money, can you help me.  I said which bank are you... they said, they were not a bank, but MCS Programs.  When I asked for the operators name... he stopped talking.  I hung up.

Every time these guys call I'm registering a complaint with the CRTC.  I am on the "Do Not Call List" in Canada so they should not be calling me.  However I read an article in the globeandmail.com and they said this company is based in Brampton, and the CRTC knows who they are.  They wrote a letter to them, and the company basically told the CRTC (the government) to buzz off.  So I think the CRTC is building a case against this company and it is just a matter of time before they shut them down with millions in fines.  All the cell phone companies in Canada have complained about them including Rogers, Telus, Bell and Fido.  This company harasses millions of people.

I HOPE THEY ARREST THEM AND PUT THEM IN JAIL FOR LIFE!

By the way, the reason the operators won't give out their names is because they can be fined too under new Canadian laws.  $1500.00 per operator and $15,000.00 for the company per call.  So they won't give out their names.  However when the government finally takes action against these people they won't be able to hide from the fines.  So if you operators keeps working for this [***] company, you could face massive losses in fines.  Quit now before you get caught!

I get calls from 000-000-0000 all the time and I am not a Bell customer either. Haven't been for a few years now and I refuse to answer it.

That is correct, too.  Many places such as prison's phone systems will show all 0's.  If someone blocks that number it could block calls that may be real ones.  But if you KNOW you never have had any other than the one's as described here, blocking and/or reporting them may be a good idea.  We get it when step-son calls so we can't do anything about them when they are not valid calls.

It seems 000-000-0000 is used by a few different company's to spoof their phone number. I'm loving bugging the [***] out of that cruise line, however.

Heh, so... I wrote a complain to Convergys, right? Saying basically the same thing I had here (above post). Some time in October or early this month, I FINALLY get a response from these people... Idiot woman that wrote me back said I had to CALL her (long distance no less) so she could get more info from me... when EVERYTHING they needed- besides the number to call back, cause I no longer have it on my phone- was in the complaint email I sent them originally. I emailed her back, told her such and I havent heard back from them.

    Dont really expect to. Idiots.

ooo-ooo-oooo was repeatedly called my cell phone (which is registered with DNC list in Canada) for weeks now. Finally I done the 10 ? survey using all 0's. It didn't matter, still worked, all they wanted is my info...I replied with a barrage of my own ?'s. All I got out of them is their web address, so while I was goggling the web address I asked more ?'s but he hung up on me.   surveyclaim.com

1 (000) 000-0000 called me this morning; I wanted to know if it was a telemarketer, so I answered it and an automated message saying I won a cruise came on. I hung up, and realised that the kiosk at Metrotown in Burnaby, BC must have sold my phone number to telemarketers when I bought my iPhone from them. This has only been happening for the last few weeks, right after I got the phone from them. I have had this phone number for years and only now am I getting calls, and frequently (another number with a Toronto area code is just dead air when I answer it; they call about once a day. I stopped answering after two calls because I thought it may have been a legitimate call that dropped the first time).

Same "Free Cruise to the Bahamas" scam.  I tried to confuse the recorder by giving conflicting answers, and a wrong telephone number.  This call came in to our church telephone number which is supposed to have DNC service on all types of calls.

I have received calls from this number before, it was "recorded" message and each time started with a Foghorn (boat horn) and then started by saying this is your Captain - it was for a travel company.

I knew it, it sounds to good to be true so i am therefore cancelling my original reply to the call so i dont want any thing more to do with this.
