A call from a voice-over-internet-protocol (VOIP) service such as Skype can typically show up as 000-000-0000, so this could really be from anyone using an internet phone line - not just one caller.  VOIP does not use caller ID, so that is why it registers as an unknown number.

OK Call came in 11:30 AM  I was not available so it went to my voice mail (home phone)  I looked on return and see 000-000-0000 on my caller id.  Why am I paying EXTRA on our phone service to receive 000-000-0000 no number calls?   OK STATE OF PA lets get on the band wagon and start earning the salary you are getting.  We comsumers are paying for a service (Caller ID and home phone!) You give us Do not call list?  Lets make them work.  You gave us all the car liscense places with so many "styles" but it does not help our pot hole roads.  But it sure gives the idiots who stoop so low to steal a child...every get away possible.  How do you know which plates the idiots are driving?  Lets go back to one plate per state - police jobs would be easiere fiding them.  Nabg the 000-000-0000 while you are at it,.

This call was from Bank of America.  I have a new cell# and lucky me, I get this Bank of America call everyday at least once per day, many times, much more than that at all hours.  I don't use Bank of America, never took a loan from them, etc. and have no outstanding loans.  How do they use this 000-000-0000 number?  If this harassment does not stop and believe me I have tried to notify Bank of America to no end and have become very frustrated.  If I want the call blocked I pay to pay a service to block the calls and that is not guaranteed.  The next step is to just cancel my cell phone.  I am working hard to pay for services to make my life easier not be harassed and I'm tired that there appears to be no way to resolve these types of problems.

If you stop and think about all the times the public has criticized the American Government and vented their frustrations on them, it only makes sense that all the politicians are sitting up in those "private" congressional hearings laughing their [***] off at us as they make prank calls to the American taxpayers as payback!!! conspiracy theory solved!  ;-)

ooo-ooo-oooo is the number along with may other 866 numbers.
Why worry about who is calling or why.  Ignore the call.  I don't
answer my phone unless I know who is calling.  I have a voice response
answering machine.  I don't have to get up to see the number; just listen.
I feel if the call is important they will leave a message.  They never do
and I ignore the calls and get on with my daily activities.  You should
ignore these calls also. You won't get ulcers.

I've been getting repeated calls from 000-000-0000. Finally I picked up. They said they were "M2, a voter contact firm." They said they were calling on behalf of the NJ State Democratic Committee. Doesn't make me want to vote for Corzine.

I believe it wasn't long ago, where the FTC had required all solicitors or business to have both the name of the company along with a phone number show up on Caller ID, when they call.
Apparently, they are using either a "spoof" card, or they are not following the FTC rules.
We get a call from this same number, daily on our business line 4.  It sounds like an automated dialer and when they pick up, they hang up right away.

I've gotten calls from 000-000-0000 periodically for 2 or 3 years and they always said they were calling from some non-profit org for the Sioux nation looking for money.  I asked to be taken off the list, asked for a supervisor (and got disconnected - surprise) and even threatened to report the calls to the police as harassment after requesting being taken off the list 13 times.  I finally blocked the number on my phone. Why can't this be stopped??

I get calls from 1-000-000-0000 almost on a daily basis. When I answer the phone to see who is calling I never get a response, nor do they ever leave a message on my answering machine.
