000-000-0000

I answered a call from 000-000-0000 and a lady on the other end said she was from the "Navajo Indian Relief Fund."  She told me that they are experiencing a shortage of food supplies and that women and children are suffering.

Because the number is untraceable, I can not trust they are who they say they are.

(I do not have caller ID, but I was able to get the number by #69ing the call after hanging up.)

I am on the "Do Not Call List."  However, I was told by the local police charity, who in the past, would also call me on my home phone number, that a non-profit charity is excluded from the 'Do Not Call List."  

I don't think they should be excluded.

I got the same number show up on my caller ID once in a while. It turned out to be one of my friend calling through Skype from overseas. Other times it was some political campaign manager asking for contribution.

I got five calls from this number today and it's only 4pm. I just changed carriers and this is the first time I've seen this "number" on my caller ID.  Very annoying...

I just got one.  It was an automated message trying to sell me cruise tickets.  Come to think of it we've been getting a lot of pointless calls from 1-800 numbers too, someone twit have sold our number to somehone.

I HAVE RECIEVED CALLS FROM THIS 000-000-0000 FOR ABOUT 2 MONTHS NOW, I HAVE REPEATED ASKED THEM TO STOP. I HAVE ASKED TO SPEAK TO a manager but when they put me on hold it hangs up. they say they are from the yellow pages updating business info. i will not give out any information. what do you have to do to make these people stop. they are SERIOUSLY ANNOYING AND TIE UP MY BUSINESS LINE AT LEAST 4 TIMES A DAY.

Just got a call from this number, it's some goverment compaign for the health care issue.

I keep getting calls on my cell phone from this number. They never
leave any messages....Im wondering about this as my cell is registered
to the Do Not Call list...how can I block this number on my phone? Im
using Verizon...Maybe its someone who got my cell# and they are
calling on a calling card so I dont get their phone #????

That's false, nothing but an e-mail hoax that's been making its rounds for the last year or longer.

i get calls everyday and the calls are from a Qwest technician

Recieved the same call from "omar" with "John Thomas" claiming he needed to get a hold of the owner of the company and had a serious deadline he had requested. He wanted me to give him the owners cell phone. What a scammer. Obviously he didn't get the owners cell phone, but these telemarketers are really ridiculous. Why can't they just call with a service- either we need it or not. No need to lie because now I definately won't put him through.

I'm getting these calls almost every day, about 15 minutes apart, sometimes for several hours.  The first one was last week and hasn't stopped since.  I've read through this post dating back over a year ago.  Some are pretty dang funny!  Bottom line, those who have answered note a very wide variety of callers so we'll probably never know how or who started 000-000-0000 or who we can contact to make them stop.  I'm going to invest in one of those obnoxiously loud airhorns and blow it continuously for several minutes every time they call.  They deserve something equally annoying as their calls.  Thanks for all the posts!  Sorry but misery loves company...  ;)

I get them freuently..but not more than daily as a rule...i dont usually answer my home phone as a rule..i see a message on the machine originally then look at the caller ID and it would say 000-000-0000,,,then while i was sitting here one night i didnt answer and it was that number..they are silent on the answering machine but u can hear breathing...yesterday i answered it..and just silence..notied i got one late last night and another early this am...not on my cell tho and both numbers are on the DO NOT CALL list???

I was woke up at 8:00 AM Sunday morning 11-8-09. And called at 10:00 AM, and again at 5:00 PM and again at 8:00 PM. I wish this to stop. The other day I was asked if my name is Rebecca, I told them to stop calling my hpme phone or I would report this. Now I an having my phone traced and reporting everytime this happens, the phone company will take care of this, I am told.

Yea.. I just got a call from the same number. More than likely it is someone "spoofing" their number. I've gotten random calls from even stranger numbers but more than likely it is someone BORED & wihtout a purpose making these calls. JUST DON'T ANSWER IT...

We were getting these calls on our house phone, now they are coming on the cell phone. The 2 phones are NOT with the same carrier.
2-3 times a day on the house phone. I real pain in the butt when your in the middle of something & have to run to the phone...only to see this  stupid # 000-000-0000. Maybe if we all ignore it they will stop.

I just recieved a call from 000-000-0000, the guy asked my name and then stated my ss#, which he had the last 4 numbers wrong and then he also could not prononce my last name or my city, and he also had my middle initial wrong.  He had a strong accent. When I asked who he was, He told me that his name was David Knox, from LLC law firm. I think I was not really sure about the first name. He kept saying is this your social #? He repeated it twice. I kept telling him no that is not my social #. The weird part is he had my first name and my last name right, but he could not prononce my last name at all.  He kept saying this not your social #? I kept telling him no. kind of scary that he had that information. Before he hung up, he said "okay this person is going to be arrested and god bless you" I was a little disturbed by this.

The guy said he was from my local Fraternal Order of Police, apparently using this number as they have been told NOT to call again. Must think we're too stupid not to wonder why an organization for police would have a blocked (spoofed) number.
This is the 2nd time they've been told not to call. Next time I'm going to ask him what local he's calling from! Bet he gets it wrong!

We got a call from this number, but it was just our utilities people. We called the number of KCP&L and verified that they called, it was them. I think that it was just a way to reach all of their customers, not a spoof. but that was just us. ALSO: they said the power would go out in about 30 minutes, and it did.

the same thing is happening to me they call once or twice a day.  I never in my life went to block buster.  And I know for a fact I have nothing in collection.  how do i make the harrassment stop
