You're right! BLOCKBUSTER is the culprit for at least SOME of you. I have 2 movies that are about 3 weeks late and have received calls from their auto call using 1-000-000-0000 for at least the past week now. Gotta get those suckers turned in!!!

I had a recording from 000-000-0000 telephone number regarding a NASA cruise contest, you had to answere 10 questions and if you were right you would win a cruise. I hung up though as I figured it was probably a scam

Hey if you use the Yahoo calling service off of your computer it sends out a 000-000-0000 as the caling ID for your call.  I know this because I used to call home from my computer using Yahoo when I was away on business.  My wife would see 000-000-0000 and know it was me calling.   So this is just a fill number that was used by Yahoo to send out the call.  Sounds to me like the peoson making the calls is using Yahoo over the internet for their calls and that is why you are getting the zero's
Hope this helps....Have a great day an smile, random calls are just an indication that you are still alive...be thankful that someone is calling!

For the third time in a row this week, I've gotten a call from this 0000000000 number and the first time around, I didn't answer, the second time around, I did and got no response, but just now (on Thursday 10/8/09 at 11:57 PM Pacific time) I answered the number and a woman by the name of Kate calling from Las Vegas, Nevada answered my hello on the other end of the receiver; the number comes from the office of Shawn Casey and his make money at home-based business.  She explained to me that the number shows up as a bunch of zeros because they're using a voice internet protocol thing.  So if you get a call from this number, it's probably going to be them.  If you google this home based business info or you've gotten a bunch of emails from him, then you already know about this opp in which he offers "the whole damn thing for free" just to charge you nearly $30 for shipping and handling and what not.

Got a call this morning, recorded, from a gal talking about health reforms issues, particularly with regard to insurance companies.  Although I may have agreed with her political stance, I do NOT appreciate her use of my phone number in this manner.  My guess is this a research firm which uses polling data to craft specific messages about particular issues, especially during election cycles.  But, it's annoying.

Everyone, be sure and register your phones for the "Do Not Call List", because in a month, all your cell phones will be made public, where telemarketers will have your number and you'll be charged if you answer these calls!!

Call came to Kansas from somewhere, leaving this dummy number behind. Call came at 15:41 hours CDT on 10-13-09. Call not answered and no message left.

From other sites I learn it is a polling outfit who set this up to read on our  caller ID.

Oct 17,09  Calls just started this month but are getting more persistant. Wasn't answering, letting calls go to machine, but now have started doing hang ups to try to discourage these punks. Calling FCC monday to report. Maybe if enough of us do it, we well do some good.
