This number is really getting annoying.  They've called my work phone ten times this morning alone.  They wouldn't tell me who they are; but know the name of our company (I use my caller ID wisely & don't state the company name when I answer if their name doesn't come up on caller ID).  Very persistant jerks especially when I told them I would report them.

I get these calls all the time saying I won a trip.  It starts out with an actual person talking.  They are talking really fast and won't stop if you interupt them.  I have tried.  After their short statement they send you to a recording.

People from India calling saying someone has taking legal action on me. They say that the people I pay my loan to are not getting the money and that some other company is taking the money instead. They want me to pay abunch of money for them to take legal action. Its a Scam!!! These people are very rude!!! I hung up and told him not to call me back. He called back and just kept saying "why did you hang up on me"? And the man was very irrate. very scary actually. then after work he called about 15 times and i sent it straight to voice mail. They kept calling none stop. I had to turn my phone off.

It's nothing, just when the phone doesn't understand who's calling.

I just rec'd a call from this number about 10 minutes ago - didn't answer it because it's a weird ass number.  Turns out it was a DOT person trying to let me know that I  missed a signature on one of my forms could I please come in and sign it.

They'll leave a message if it's important, otherwise just ignore it.  If they keep calling pick up and tell them to stop, most of them are business with bad/no number data.

I too have had 1-000-000-0000 numbers coming up on my call ID so I did a *60 and blocked all 000-000-0000 numbers from even reaching my phone.  Once I answered and no one was on the other end.  I even had one call me at 9:10 pm and that was really annoying.  They wanted to do a servey of some sort.  They are now blocked. Call your phone company and see if you can get call blocking on your line.  It really helps with those pesky people that always call with no ID.

My caller ID will say "unknown", "restricted" or "privite" if it can't ID the person on the other side.  1-000-000-0000 can be used by many organizations to block out who they are.  Just put them on caller block, if you have it, and be done with them.  Don't know why they would want to hide who they are.

You need to ask your phone company if they offer call blocking.  I have it on my phone and am able to put in 12 numbers to block from even hitting my house phone.  I blocked them from calling.

000-000-0000 is an invalid number that cannot be blocked by the usual call-blocking services ( simply because it is an invalid number! ).  Unfortunately, there are many legitimate but unscrupulous automated phone-dialing softwares which permit the user to use this identification as a call sign / return number.  This software is being used by a variety of annoyance callers such as political parties, political candidates, government agencies, bill-collecting agencies, real-estate-agencies, foreclosure agencies, banking and credit-card firms, bogus charities....etc. etc.  It is even being used by telemarketers from various phone and internet service providers.  It is probably also being used by the political party that controls your own federal, state and local goverments.
So, you can keep complaining to your phone company and the politicians, but they probably won't do anything about it because many of their own telemarketers are also using this software to skirt around the state and federal no-call lists and blocking software.
The best thing to do is to throw your telephone out the window, smash it, or at least turn it off for a awhile. The telephone is an over-rated device, anyway.

Today I got one from some group claiming to assist veterans and butchered the phrase Disabled American Veterans AND Disabled Afghanistan and Iraq Veterans...and since I work with both organizations..I caught the error, tried to hang up nicely but the guy won't stop talking (then I heard the slightest Indian accent creep in from the southern accent) and hung up..it is a scam.

unbelievable the lost business time having to be interrupted by these people.  somebody needs to stop these people.  maybe the solution is to "remember in November" and perhaps we can get somebody in this government to do their job!

Thia 000 number called at 11:43am, ID stated "Out of Area" When I picked up it sounded like it fast touch-tone dialing. I immediately hungup before the dialing connect.

No idea what that was about, but it's extremely shady though. (Realized after the fact the number was this 000-000-0000 number.) I'll be blocking this from now on!

I actually got a call from this number last night. 9/30/10 I didnt pick up, just because the caller ID said "name not found." When it came time for the caller to leave a message "they" didnt, it was just silence. I've had that phone for a while now, and never came in contact with this number. I mean really, who the hell calls from a number like this, 1-000-000-0000?
