I've had 0000000 calling me at least 10 times a day for a few days now. In the last hour they've called 4 times. I tried answering yesterday and there was noone on the line. I finally answered again a few minutes ago and it was someone doing a survey for the upcoming elections. I told them to remove my number from their list and I haven't got a call since. Their calls are very frequent and annoying

Add me to the list.  Just got a call from this number.  I'm on the DoNotCall list and rarely get telemarketers any more.  I have my phone set up to ring about 8 times before the machine picks up and this seems to deter further calls.  I also report all unsolicited calls to the DoNotCall registry: I take the time to file a complaint.

Whats funny is, you all getting worked up over a number that calls you insistently. here are some things you might try...
    Night time> Mute Ringer
    Fax Machine> Unplug it
    At Work> ignore it
Think its the gov't> you watch too much tv
Think its a collection agency> You're probably right. they do anything for money
Get a call from someone breathing into phone> Laugh at their pitiful attempt at scaring you
Think its the democrats> Blame Obama
Think its the republicans> Blame Bush
Think its God> Don't. he dont exist.
    Anything else> Don't care.

I get these calls too. (000000000000)
    I laugh at them
more often than not, its a collection agency. i laugh at them. Can't take blood from a turnip (Meaning i'm to poor to pay them)
When its a strange voice, or someone breathing(only happened once) I laugh at them. Try this on someone else, dumbass.

It is absolutely amazing how you can turn things like this into a full-fledged politics argument... GET OFF YOUR DAMN HIGH HORSE
People dont vote for leaders... leaders do. The americans dont get all they deserve... so what. ITS BEEN LIKE THAT FOR AGES
    Deal with it.
    That Is All.
email me if you think i'm funny.

WRONGO! 1-000-000-0000 is but the latest attempt by scumbag, bottom-feeding DEBT COLLECTORS, such as PORTFOLIO RECOVERY ASSOCIATES to get around Caller ID and your local phone company's call-rejection service.

Portfolio Recovery is the worst of the worst. . .repeatedly calling to collect old debts that are way beyond the statute of limitations to collect and have been purged from your credit report. I've already filed a comppalint against those scumbags with the Federal Trade Commission and now I'm about to sic my state attorney general's office on them.

Portfolio Recovery already has been SUED by at least five state attorneys general for unscrupulous and illegal collection practices. Their biggest client, CROSS-COUNTRY BANK, has also been sued by at least 13 state attorneys general for the same thing -- and was ordered by a New York state court to pay millions in restitution to their now-former credit-card holders.

Speaking of credit cards, the Justice Department has filed an anti-trust lawsuit against Visa, MasterCard and American Express  for alleged anti-competitive practices. Within hours after the suit was filed, Visa and MasterCard reached out-of-court settlements, but American Express has chosen to fight the lawsuit, adamantly insisting that it has done nothing wrong -- and may even countersue.the government, claiming that it has no authority to regulate it.

    How's that for chutzpah?

If the calls are coming to your cell phone assign this number "no ring" for a ring tone.  That way you;ll get to ignore calls from this number and still get the rest of your calls.
