I also received a call at 19h00 from this number and a black lady answered the phone telling me that she phoned from Edgars to verify my personal information of which I refused to give to a stranger.

Missed calls from 011 590 7000.  How bloody irritating.

I got a call from that no. too answered & nothing tried to call back & it was engaged. Very annoying

we cant just keep reporting this number ..........Telkom doesnt have this number on their data base last option is Neotel. they will know who is using this number and why ? i suspect fraud

It's not a "valid NPA number"
these are EASILY blocked via IP PBX like PBX in a Flash (free open source pbx)
once you switch to an IP PBX you'll be able to block all such ****tty calling behavior interweb search: pbx amazon ec2 free

combine with: http://anveo.com or http://voip.ms or vitelity.com or les.net or callwith.us or http://callcentric.com or https://ostel.me you'll then also be able to forward, reply,
receive, send text messages in legacy-sms as well as xmpp, email, and sip

Same just happended for me to - just got a call no one talked then when i phone back number is engaged

Please trace this number,I have been receiving missed calls since february and when i call back it says number busy

This number called me today and its the second time in two weeks, googled it and came across all this complaints

These people are driving me crazy, I am going to lay a charge of harassment.

I have been getting missed calls from this number but when i tried to call it back it's always engaged. They dont even mind calling you 6-7 times a day..........ANNOYED

I also get these calls from this number.  I have a new way of dealing with these people.  I answer, put my phone down and go about my business.  I don't listen to them anymore.  I do this with all the strange numbers that call and don't have anything to say.  I save these numbers under "annoying" or "don't answer" or things like that, so that I know that I can just answer and then do nothing.  If they have a huge phone bill or run out of airtime because of me, maybe that would encourage them to stop calling.

The number 011590700 is from a Call Centre named Direct Channel, a division of Old Mutual selling Funeral Insurance

Thanks, now I know to ignore them.... I just answer and make heavy breathing noises when they call
