Called Chase card to get my amount owed and given this phone number 1-101-515-8000 this showed up with $18.00 charge to my phone bill

I found on my phone bill the #1015158000 cost 7.95 I called the 8007317777 claims a directory system for phone numbers. no one in my house called this number and was imformed will recieve a check for the 7.95 wait to see if this is for real.  Loni

I too was billed for a directory service call from ILD 10 15 15 8000. It was supposed to have taken place on Feb. 4, 2009 at 8:15pm.  At that time my husband and I were sitting in the dark, without power, living through the worst ice storm we had ever known.  No way were either of us using directory assistance, or paying $7.00 for it.  No one would ever use this number, everyone either dials zero or 411.  They were nice enough to remove the credit the charge after I refused to give them my address for the check they first offered to send.  AT & T offered to place claim on my bill for 90 days until the credit was applied to the bill. My bill was reduced and I did not have to pay for the charge. I did not want any of my money going to that company.

I got a message to call this number when I called the Customer Service number on a bill from the medical lab that did a test for me. I tried the number twice and both times reached a message telling me to call that number.  I then looked up that number on here and found this posting.  After that I tried the number a third time and got right through to the lab!! I told the customer service agent there what had happend.  I will be keeping a very close eye on my phone bill!

Telephone number 101-515-8000 appeared on my telephone bill. Never called this number nor did I recognize it.

If a call was received from this telephone number how can I be responsible for the telephone charge?

I received a charge on my telephone bill (corporate/work) for my fax machine. When I called, the girl tried to tell me that it was charged because we either took a collect call on our fax, had internet services through our fax or bought something from a merchant via our fax phone.

When I gave reasons why none of this would happen at our office, the girl then tried to tell me that we called a non-working number on our fax and got a recording telling us to call 1015158000.

Apparently they change stories until they can get you to agree to the possibility that you did this.

Finally, the girl agreed to reverse the charges but wanted my mailing address. No. I wouldn't give it to her. I demanded that they reverse it through my telephone carrier.

This is not the first time that scams like this have happened through my telephone carrier. It takes multiple calles to the third party and a lot of angry discussions to get the charges reversed. I've had to call every month in the past and anticipate this will happen again!

I called gateway services for help from my computer... they gave me a phone number for microsoft assistance 1 800 936 5708, then I got a recorded voice that told me for the price of $4.78 I could get help... when I called it I got nothing. I sure hope this does not show up on my next phone bill.

Phone message recieved posing as Bank of America to call 18883765525.  I returned the call to hear; "You will be charged $5.95 and need to call 1015158000 to discuss your refinancing.    I believe they recieved my number when I applied to the real Bank of America for refinance.  This imposter also, we believe, ran 2 credit checks on us thru Transunion with a different name spelling and address than the real (we hope) Bank of America:  BK OF AMER 9000 Southside BV #700 #700.

A $7.50 charge from OAN for "directory assistance" mysteriously showed up on my March phone bill from Verizon.  We never made any such call, and when we spoke with a helpful rep from Verizon, she told us we can dispute the charge and not pay it.  Damn right we won't, and I've already filed complaints about OAN with the Federal Trade Commission and the Federal Communications Commission, with the Virginia Attorney Genera's office next.  I encourage all of you who are getting ripped off by these scumbags at OAN to do likewise -- the on-line complaint forms from the FTC and FCC are very simple and quick to use.

I called this number: 10 15 15 8000 and was charged $9.00

My bank (Wachovia) gave me the number 800.642.0527 to call for a refi on my home. The had a recording saying (fast) cost of $4.95 and call 10.10.15.8000   I didn't called and google the name and found all this info. The is a scam. thank-you soooo much

I recieved a voicemail from my bank saying that there were some suspicious charges on my card and left a 1800 number to call. When I called I got the same recording as everyone else with instructions to call 10-15-15-8000 or send a text to the number then reply with a 'Y'. So I texted the number and the text I got back said

"Reply Y now to find info on the number you're looking for. # info svc $9.99/month+std message fees for 20 lookups/month. Support Terms? www.numsvc.com"

Needless to say I didn't reply Y. I googled the number and found this website... which saved me a lot of hassle.

OK FIRST OFF!!!!.... learn how to type you illiterate scumbag...no wonder they hired you to work for this company.  I would love for you to repy to me.......I got this charge on my bill and NEVER made such a call...yet it MAGICALLY appeared.  So explain that to me because I would love to know why since you are an employee there.  I already filed a complaint to the FCC so this bogus company you-so-called work for will hopefully go under very soon!

i got the charges 5.49 on my verzion bill.
the bill recorded the call No is 1-101-515-8000 from Dir Asistant NV.
OAN is provider. But i did not dail the No .

Received charges for 8.96 for this so called 10 15 15 800.  No body was at home at that time.. Apr 17 1:49 pm. Both me and my husband work... how the hell this charge appeared.  Will call their billing question cust service at 1 800 731 7777 tomoroow.. hope they will reverse the charges.  Anyone successful in getting the charge reversed?

I received a voice mail at MY OFFICE from a woman named "Shandel" saying she was with CVS Camera Specialties looking for..(she said my full name) and please call her back at 1-800-447-4790.  When I dialed that number, I was referred to call the 101-515-8000 number.  Needless to say, I didn't call it.  The worst part is, when I got home, the same woman had left the same message on my home phone.  I am on the Do Not Call List, but it makes me very nervous to know that anyone has access to personal information including where I work!

And another thing jack(ass) - so what if it's $5 or $7 or [***] $1.  It's the principal.  No, it's not just that.  It is about the money.  And it should be.  Really, how wouild you like to just hand over $5/$7 not get anything for it?  Would you go and throw money in the trash?  Why don't you just dish out $7 to all the people posing here getting ripped off by the scum bag company you "work" for since you say it's ONLY 7 bucks!!!

ONLY $7...if it was 25 cents even!  How much is $.25 times let's say...5,000?  5000 being the number of people that wouldn't even notice?  Pretty good profit of $1250.  Too bad you don't earn your paycheck like the rest of us.  [***] thief.
